• Facility Size: 30,000 sq. ft.
• Current Capacity: 20,000 to 40,000 parts per month
• Ramp up schedule: 80,000 to 200,000 parts per
  month
• Tactical Coatings has built their
guarantee of quality around an entire
  system. The main framework follows
  the ISO 9001:2008 , AS9100 and
  Nadcap standards with an emphasis
  on continual improvement.

• The foundation of the QMS can be
found in the Quality Policy (see QA Manual).
• System Wide Control
  ISO 9001:2008
• Inline Quality Control
• Verifications
• Continuous Improvement
• The Tactical Coatings approach
  to Quality begins with
  dedication to formal process
  control, using internationally
  recognized management
  systems such as:
  ISO 9001:2008
• Although Tactical Coatings complies with
  the entire ISO 9001:2008
standard, highlighted below are a few key
  aspects that ensure customer quality:
Management Review: Regular review of process performance, key
process indicators and internal audits of the QMS.
Control of Non-Conforming Product: Tactical Coatings uses a formal
process to control product that may be non-conforming, whether it be
actual part integrity, packaging component issues or requests from the
  customer.
Customer Concern Process: Tactical Coatings values customer feedback
as a necessary part of our improvement process. We have a formal
process to document and respond to customer concerns which
emphasizes root cause analysis followed by preventive action.
Continuous Improvement Process: Tactical Coatings uses the ISO
standard to support our continuous improvement efforts. Our experimental
process and management review give way to many potential improvement
  projects.
• Tactical Coatings employs a
  variety of tools to ensure
  product quality throughout
  the manufacturing process.

• These processes are
  described briefly in the
  following slides.
• Tactical Coatings
  Packaging department
  performs a “3-Way
  Verification” of the
  finished goods
  comparing to both
  work order, purchase
  order and customer
  provided drawing.
• Tactical Coatings actively employs
  continuous improvement efforts
throughout the facility with a strong
focus on meeting the customer’s needs.
These activities are captured in two
  primary areas:

     •Lean Manufacturing Efforts

     •Self Directed Work Teams
Again, with focus on customer requirements, Tactical
Coatings has a strong Lean initiative. This effort
emphasizes the use of lean tools (Visual
Workplace-5s, Standardized Work, Pull
Systems, Waste Reduction) with a strong emphasis
on total employee involvement, taking advantage of
the many improvement ideas that exists right at the
source of production.
Process
Mapping
• As the business develops, the
  use of more sophisticated tools
  will be implemented. These will
  include:
   FMEA

 Statistical Analysis and the DMAIC
    Approach

   Statistical Process Control
• To support total employee
  involvement, areas have developed
smaller work teams which emphasize a
  cellular approach and local control.

• These teams are guided by management
to not only develop local optimization but
  to evaluate downstream impact and
improve product flow throughout the entire
  process.
• Tactical Coatings practices a
  multifaceted approach to total quality
  using best practices, Quality
  management systems, autonomation
  and intentional employee involvement.

• Tactical Coatings believes this is the
  best approach to meeting the
  customer’s requirements while
  remaining competitive in a mature
  industry.
