HOW TO SPEED UP INVESTMENT IN PROFITABLE MEASURES? • Make people understand the benefits • Provide incentives for investors and suppliers
SLOVENIAN ECOFUND • Grants to households (app. 20%) for investment in energy efficiency and heating of buildings • Loans to businesses for environmental investment • Motivate owners to invest • Support the development of the supply sector (around 18 000 jobs)
GRANTS 2008-2013 – 62,500 HOUSEHOLDS
ADVISORY SERVICE • Needed in early stages to raise awarness and advise the investors • Later the market (suppliers) take over most communication • Still, impartial advice is needed
