2. After going through the Barsabai case study, we came through that the people
living in Mohadi face a lot of deprivation which are followings -
Housing deprivation:
In this case villagers used to live in straw huts, when the cyclone hit the place,
straw huts were destroyed as they did not have any concrete buildings. But
now they has about dozan of them including the school
Poor education facilities:
Education system was not satisfied in the village as there teacher was not
regular, become only in a once in a month and this school is the one an only
school in the whole village.
3. Health deprivation:
There were no proper health care facilities in the village
Barsabai’s brother was severely injured and she had to
take him to the doctor. The chamber of doctor is situated
10 kilometers away from the village.
Political deprivation:
Government imposed fishing to born a coastal waters to
protect fish and used to big threat to used caught the big
fishes, but small fish fishing are not getting their overall
income.
4. Cultural deprivation:
There was the craft work that the village woman have been
doing for generation. There traditional craftwork demand is
high but the traders get away with offering very low prices
because of the woman’s isolation. So SEWA is stepping in to
organize the home-based craft work and to provide direct
access to international market.
