2. COMPANIES ACT 2013 ; SECTION 135
Every Company having net worth of 500 Cr or more,
Turnover of 1000 Cr or more,
Net profit of 5 Cr in the current year,
Any company satisfy any of the above condition it has to
comply with provision of section 135.
3. In Sub Section (1) 135 ; instead of “any financial year” to “immediately preceding
financial” for three years.
In sub section (3)135 ; instead of “as specified in the schedule 7” to “in areas or
subjects specified in schedule 7”
In Section 384 of the principal Act, in sub-section (2), after the word and figures
“section 92”, the words and figures “and section 135” shall be inserted.
4. REASEARCH GAP:As earlier research is done on the CSR policy of the hospitality
sector, we on this study wanted to throw lights on the CSR policy that has been
followed by two big players in the market.
OBJECTIVE: To establish any correlation between CSR expenditure and net profit
in the current year.
To analyse and compare the trends of CSR in selected companies of hospitality
industry in India.
METHODOLOGY: This research is descriptive in nature. The present study is
based on only secondary data. This secondary data has been collected from the
websites.
5. ITC’s STRATEGIES OF CSR:
Identifying and evaluating climate change risk for each business
Reducing the environment impact of their processes, products and services and
working towards creating a positive environmental footprint.
Adopting a low carbon growth path through reduction in specific energy consumption
and to enlarge carbon footprint.
Working towards minimising waste generations, maximising its reuse and recycling
and using external post-consumer waste as raw material in their units.

7. EMPLOYEE VOLUNTEERING AND TARGET COMMUNITY GROUPS

The emerging multipurpose corporations will demand multipurpose goals and
synergistic policies that accomplish more than a single goal at time.
Lack of managers’ expertise and capability to successfully implement CSR.
Adequate financial resources to train the staff for research and development towards
innovative services.
Steady competitve tension, inadequate backing from the government.
10. 1. Focus on multiple bottom lines-social, environmental, political and ethical-which are all
interconnected.
2. Independent variables such as Corporate Reputation, Organizational Climate, and Sustainability report
of hospitality industry should be studied carefully.
3. On identifying and comparing the perception of line managers, staff managers, and employees on CSR
practices of the company.
4. Identification of programs and policies to enhance CSR practices is also a relevant area of research.
5. Integrate social entrepreneurship into their core culture by actively channelizing their research and
development capabilities in the direction of socially innovative and environmentally friendly products
and services.
