1. Clothing Etiquette in Islam
Dua’a- “Praise be to Allah who granted me the clothes that made
me look good in front of people and that covers my body”.
2. The Awrah for Men and Women
For Men- Between the navel and the knee
For Women- Her entire body is an awrah including hands and the face
What is Awrah?
The areas of the body that are
required to be covered which is
mentioned in the Quran and Sunnah
● It requires to be covered in front of others of the same or the opposite gender
● The Prophet (PBUH) forbade to look at the awrah of another person
● The only men that are allowed to see the women are their own Mahram's
3. Islamic Ruling on Women’s Dress
The dress must not be see
through, flashy, tight fitted etc.
The dress should not

should be decent & modest

5. Beyond the Clothing
Islamic clothing is one aspect of modesty. More importantly, one
must be modest in behavior, manners, speech, and appearance
in public. The dress is only one aspect of the total being and one
that merely reflects what is present on the inside of a person's
heart.
