Introduction
Valioso AB is a Swedish registered company situated in Gothenburg. The Company
is privately owned, and was established in 2001. Our business model is driven by
large networks of experts which can be assembled in larger inter-disciplinary teams.
The company has an affiliation in London, UK.
This article serves as an introduction to the Company Valioso AB, its history and

Global Exploration & Production Consultancy Facilitator
Valioso AB has subsurface competence which comprises a dedicated team of a team
of geologists, geophysicists, reservoir - and production engineers. The main fields of
activity are: Geological and geophysical interpretation, petrophysics, reservoir
modelling and simulation, production technology and operation/ well site geology.
We facilitate various competence teams according to client needs, therefore a great
flexibility in type and size of teams can be set up.

Formation Evaluation
Valioso AB can team up a group of petrophysicists that have both broad and long
experience in log processing and interpretation, facies dependent porosity -
permeability relationships and 2D / 3D mapping of petrophysical parameters (also
stochastic). Borehole image interpretation of fracture networks structural events are

determination studies.
Sediment texture and mineralogy together with understanding of rock physic parameters behaviour in
seismic data makes the foundation for understanding of seismic attributes and reservoir quality
assessment.
Reservoir Technology
Our team of reservoir engineers exhibits a team with long and varied experience in
this field of the profession. Valioso AB has experience in IOR - studies and has been
widely used on several fields on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and Russia.
Reservoir modelling is a important business area for us. Our team of reservoir
engineers and reservoir geologists are considered experts in both stochastic and
deterministic volumetric evaluations. Also reservoir simulation of 'black oil' and
compositional, dual porosity fall within our core competence.
Some of our personnel are widely recognised authorities on up scaling and saturation
modelling. Our partners and teams have knowledge and done contribution to the
development of several commonly used software’s like Eclipse and IRAP RMS.
Building of reservoir models (including depth conversion) and estimation of
recoverable reserves, including both deterministic and stochastic methods is
considered core competence.

Geomodelling While Drilling
Using a geomodellling application as e.g. RMS and Petrel, our geologists are able to

of the area. Using the geo model application in real time offshore, makes the geo

Operations Geology
Operations geologists which cover all aspects of well planning as preparation and
production of drilling programmes and all pre-spud activities, follow-up during the

Geophysics & Geology
Structural and stratigraphical interpretations of geophysical and geological data are
core business areas. Our team handles all modern work station types and the full
suites of operation from homogenisation of surveys, through 2 and 3D interpretations
to mapping and reservoir model generation.
Fault system mapping – comparing field analogues and modelling behaviour
Valioso AB and its partners covers all the sub-disciplines of geological services from
regional play analysis to all types of volumetric analysis and risk evaluations.

A major part of our experience is gained from work on the technical challenging
Norwegian Continental Shelf, Russia and Latin America where we have experience

US GoM Deep Shelf – Its True Potential
This multi client study is made for all existing and prospective Deep Shelf players in
the US Gulf of Mexico.
The Study provides the industry with a assessment of the emerging Deep Shelf play
in terms of both its track record to date and its future commercial potential.
We also identify the top Deep Shelf players, assess their portfolios, benchmark their
performance and attempt to unlock the secrets of their success.
The MMS has stated that out of the 35,000 wells drilled on the OCS, only 5% were
drilled deeper than 15,000 ft sub sea, with an implied success rate of 27% and an
average discovery size of around 20 bcf. What is the true commercial success rate of
the Deep Shelf play? Are certain Shelf areas more prospective than others? What
are the cost structures and the key commercial drivers? And what rates of return are
being generated on a full cycle basis.

Velocity Study – Norway
Together with eXDb Ltd, Petrodata and ERM.S we can provide a national velocity
atlas utilizing all available velocity data on the Norwegian shelf.
Providing state of the art QC of 2D and 3D velocity fields, and merged into super-grid velocity fields for
application in time-depth, inversion, depth migration or re-processing of data.
Reservoir Geology and geophysics
Valioso AB makes it possible to build teams with strengths within various types of
reservoirs and various challenges associated with these.

9. The link between micro-, -meso- and macroscopic understanding, enhances the understanding of
hydrocarbon and water flow in reservoirs. Implementing faults in reservoir model is therefore of vital
importance.
The company masters all types of reservoirs from clastic (fluvial/deltaic, shallow
marine / tidal, deep sea) to carbonates (chalk fields to fractured carbonates).

10. 4D interpretation combined with attributes and visualization becomes more and more important in order to geo
steer wells in exploration and production settings .Improved oil recovery (IOR) projects have found usage of 4D
seismic data to be a major contributor to increase oil resources in fields.
