I am a self-motivated individual driven to improve the manufacturing environments I am
a part of. I have extensive experience in polymer compounding and extrusion for different
applications. I have demonstrated the ability to adapt to very different types of manufacturing
environments from union facilities to non-union self-directed plants. In addition, I have the
capability to understand and improve processes in very short time as I have demonstrated in the
multiple rolls I have held with the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and its subsidiaries. I
have discovered that I have a strong aptitude for developing engineers. Through my career, I
have served as development engineer, managed maintenance personnel, managed quality
systems, served as senior technical engineer, and now a technical team leader. I am looking for
the right opportunity to take the next step in my career where I can apply the technical, quality,

*17 years perfect attendance.
*Redesign 6” hose and test couplings. Two reusable, 6” couplings were designed from stainless
steel and aluminum to handle hydrostatic pressures of 800 psi. The couplings weighed twelve
pounds each and have been used to test hose with burst results of 670 plus psi. The construction
of the product was successfully changed to increase the burst by 2.5 times without adding cost,
weight, or changing the visible appearance of the product. A three dimensional burst model was
developed for future hoses.
*Successfully converted the Goodyear Mount Pleasant, IA hose plant from QS9000 to TS16949.
*Developed a new quality position at the Goodyear Mount Pleasant, IA facility. Interviewed,
selected, and managed the four inspectors to reduce set up errors for a cost savings, reduce
RGR’s, and improve start up efficiencies.
*Two patent, 8,308,592 and 8,096,925, PVC Treadmill belt with foamed cushion layer and
method of making.
*Development of a wear resistant, flexible, low coefficient of friction, static dissipative material
for PVC conveyor belts at Belt Concepts of America.
*Ended scorched rubber compound at Wire Calendar.
*Decreased slow moving generation for OTR compounds 23%.
*Lead quality team to start up new mixer with 99% FPY for gravity. Organized schedule for
specification development. Completed PSO. Drove culture change to have operators own the
process reducing need for management resources and assisted in driving 80% OEE.
