2. The problem we are solving
Situation:
• Built environments make an indelible impression on people and impact directly their lives and wellbeing.
• People, especially children - are very effective amplifiers of their social, economic and physical environments
• Too often “Affordable Housing” is synonymous with cheapness and poor durability both of which are all too apparent to occupants and
neighbors
Solution:
• Change the building process and materials to produce energy efficient, safe, carbon-negative & affordable buildings from forest products
especially mass timber and related technologies (see company overview).
• Apply best practices from manufacturing fields – technology, design, process and supply chain management
• Integrate design, manufacturing, fabrication and assembly to achieve economies of scale and the precision assembly of built environments
• Design small footprint, low infrastructure impact shelters to provide
• Security, comfort and ability to experience healthy, undisturbed sleep
• A sense of home and place
• Safe living in Phoenix’s hot summers
• Sanitary conditions without overloading municipal sewer systems and water supply networks
• Drinking water and gray and black water waste tanks

RAPID REHOUSING: 16ft X 16ft Units Summary:

Manufactured pre-cut structural and non-load-bearing CLT including all built-in cabinetry and
furniture items, windows and doors. Able to be assembled and disassembled rapidly.

Underfloor Black and Gray water tanks for weekly emptying vs main sewer line connections
Construction Time:
10-20% of Traditional Build depending on site conditions and permitting. On Par with modular
factory-built field assembly but has a durability that exceeds 100+ years.
Code Compliance:
Meets ICC 2012+ standards (US Municipal Standard for Building and Fire)
