Program / Project Administration & Management
- Business Banking HR Projects & Initiatives: Partner with Business Banking liaison on HR projects affecting frontline
Business Banking team members. For all projects, create and manage project plans; participate in team meetings
providing input and tracking notes; employ the DECIDE model; manage project SharePoint sites; and develop
presentations for the Business Banking Operating Committee communications. Make recommendations for
improvements to processes and documents.
- Team Member Retention Toolkit: Co-led a project team evaluating the relevancy and currency of manager resources.
Proposed and made changes to Website layout and content based on manager feedback sessions. Conducted
usability testing prior to rollout of revised resources. Developed detailed communication plan and messages.
Currently evaluating effectiveness of new resources. Co-leading an ongoing “retention champion” team to maintain a
focus on retaining talent.
- Recognition Program Administrator: As recognition administrator, manage quarterly and annual winner selection
process for BBG and PCS HR, including winner allocations, selections, and communications. Previously, led successful
transition from AIM recognition program to STARS recognition program. Proposed change to and sought approval
from senior leaders; developed solutions to address key leadership concerns; conducted conference calls with

- Sustained Silent Reading: Made recommendations for a new sustained silent reading program for a Charlotte high
school and presented to the media specialist, administration, staff, and parents using Prezi.
- Library Needs Assessment: Conducted needs assessment on a Charlotte high school library and proposed
recommendations for improvements to the Director of Media Services in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.
- Community Service: Organized Reading First program for our department. Visited Kindergarten classes at First Ward
Accelerated Learning Academy once a week and read them books from the program’s collection, incorporating
related activities.
Event Management
- WOW Team / Business Banking Leadership Conference (BBLC): Co-led the 2014 WOW Team for BBLC. Developed project
plan; managed to milestones; coordinated, scheduled, and directed WOW Team volunteers; tracked spending;
communicated with key stakeholders throughout planning process. In 2013, coordinated community service /
networking event to donated money to Granite Mountain Hotshots families and 325 new books to Kids Need to Read.
- Business Banking HR Annual Conference: Led the planning committee for the Business Banking HR annual conference in
2013 and 2014. In collaboration with the committee, developed conference theme, aligned agenda and activities to
the theme, created meeting materials, coordinated hotel and food arrangements, and produced surveys. Co-
facilitated a conference segment.

- Queen City Lindy Exchange: Created the first-ever Lindy Hop exchange in Charlotte, NC. Managed project team of 20
people and 28 volunteers to plan, coordinate, and execute 3-day swing dance event that included 6 dances, 5 venues,
2 bands, 8 DJs, a scavenger hunt, a cookout, and contests on a $4,000 budget. The inaugural event in 2010 was a huge
success and was repeated in March 2012 and March 2013, resulting in profit and a high rate of positive survey scores.
Information Access & Delivery
- Online Access & Tutorials: Developed online virtual orientation for a Charlotte high school’s library using Camtasia and
embedded on the new library wiki Website. Tracked usage of the wiki site using Google Analytics.
- Printed Materials: Created three pathfinders for a Charlotte elementary school that aligned the library’s resources with
both NCSCOS curriculum standards and the International Baccalaureate themes.
- Organization of Materials: Created a to-scale floor plan and video tour for a Charlotte elementary school library and
made recommendations for improvements, some of which were implemented the following school year.
- Bibliography: Developed an in-depth annotated bibliography, appropriate for college-level students, on the history of
the Lindy Hop.
- Museum-style Informational Kiosk: Created a self-directed informational kiosk on the history of the Lindy Hop,
converted to Flash format using AuthorStream, and posted to the Lovin’ Lindy Website as a resource.
- Web Design & Brand: Designed and maintain Teamworks presence for Business Banking HR on BBG HR Website and
CBHR Website. Completed usability testing to assess the new format, layout, and content and made additional
improvements based on feedback. Review content semi-annually to keep fresh, current, and Brand-compliant.
Maintain access lists.
- SharePoint Collaboration: Set up a parent SharePoint collaboration site to manage Business Banking HR projects and
reduce email traffic. Created and maintain child sites for individual projects and manage the content and access lists.
Teaching & Learning
- In-person, differentiated instruction to students across all generations: Taught group and private dance classes for
students of all ages (high school and up). Provided coaching and feedback in a positive way to encourage students to
stretch beyond their comfort zones and test their abilities. Employed humor to foster a fun, non-threatening learning
environment.
- Technology and Arts Integration: Collaborated with a Theatre teacher at a Charlotte high school to design and teach a
unit on the Harlem Renaissance. Provided instruction on evaluating online resources and using Glogster EDU.
- Research Process: Collaborated with fourth-grade teachers at a Charlotte elementary school to design a unit on
animals. Taught lessons on the Super 3 research process, created a rubric, and developed a pathfinder.
- Resource and Curriculum Alignment: Developed an integrated curriculum map that aligned the new NCSCOS
Information Skills standards to the fifth-grade science curriculum.
- Reading Promotion & Encouragement: Performed booktalks for fifth-graders at a Charlotte elementary school,
highlighting North Carolina Children’s Book Award nominees from the junior division.
- Virtual Instruction & Facilitation: Frequently use Microsoft Online Meeting, Microsoft Live Meeting, and Centra Virtual
Classroom to conduct educational / informational sessions with managers.
Entrepreneurship
- Small business owner: Started a swing dancing small business that provided group and private dance instruction to
