assigned to Resident, asses any emergent needs, review medications and
order from facility partnered pharmacy, ensure routine bloodwork and
Ministry of Health LTC infectious disease protocol followed and ensure
follow up by charge nurses on the units.
 Required to have advanced assessment skills and ability to appropriately
address on call physicians regarding any Residents condition when
required.
 Ability to read all medical testing paper work and notify physician
regarding any medical conditions that require immediate attention.

facility.
Unit Charge Nurse
 Responsible for the care of 32 Residents afflicted with Alzheimer’s and
other related dementias on a locked secure unit.
 Responsible for medication administration and wound treatments for all
residents.
 Monitor and lead unit staff of six or more.
 Report to supervisors on regular basis.

 Responsible for incontinence committee and mechanical lift safety
committee.
 Created and designed program for committees
 Retained staff to assist in committee duties, ensured all new and current
staff used lift equipment/incontinence products properly as per policy and
