The Shining, directed by Stanley Kubrick and based on the novel by Stephen King, will be screened at the Friedman Auditorium on various dates in April and May 2013. The 146-minute horror/mystery film tells the story of a family staying isolated at an haunted hotel where the father falls under an evil influence. A related documentary called Room 237 exploring theories about hidden meanings in The Shining will also be shown.
