Project Summary Field Operations Systems (FOS) is developing a new system (ROADS) to support
station route planning and real-time route optimization for domestic express
ground operations. Territories 2 (T2) designates the portion of the ROADS project
that supports route planning, including the use of map manipulation tools. This
system will need to obtain data derived from the Customer Sector List on the
mainframe. This data will be used by route planning personnel to effect address
disbursement alterations in the sectors.
Introduction:
ROADS (Route Operations and Decision Support) is a new planning tool being
developed by Field Operations Systems (FOS) in phased manner to accomplish
the goals of on-road productivity targets of US Ground Operations . This will
support station route planning and real-time route optimization for domestic
express ground operations.
The Software Architecture Specification for ROADS project gives the high level
technical Architectural overview of the application in terms of software and
hardware technologies used in its development. It defines and details the
significant architecture specific goals of the project.
It also outlines the technologies and frameworks that roads will utilize in broad
collaboration and participation of different applications in distributed network.
SYSTEM OBJECTIVE:
The project is being designed and developed on J2ee framework. The system
objective is to develop a robust, multi tiered, reusable, scalable and secure web
based architecture. With each layer identified clearly and defined to include
specific task of achieving the desired results. The system will use following
technologies - BEA Web logic, Apache Web server, JSF,J2SE,J2EE, EJB, Hibernate,
Oracle ,ESRI, Citrix.
Responsibilities Contributed for preparing Test Plan. Test cases for various modules in
ROADS including Reports

11. Project Name GRASPNET

Project Summary FedEx has tied up with various Global Service Partners (GSPs). The GSPs
exchange manifests required for customs clearance with the FedEx server.
GRASPWin application allows GSP personnel to receive inbound
manifests from FedEx and to send outbound manifests and POD/DEX
scans to FedEx. The software also helps keep track of items in the cage and
produce various reports.
FedEx has engaged Wipro to re-engineer GRASP Win v3.1.7 (termed as
the base line version of GRASP) in Microsoft .NET 2.0 environment using
C# as the language of choice.
Certain functionalities of the base line GRASP are no longer required. At
the same time, there is a need to include new functionalities into the
software to meet the business requirements.
The base line GRASP, developed in older versions Uniface and Sybase
SQL Anywhere environment, has evolved over several years, posing
maintenance and enhancement challenges. At the same time, there is a
need to bring GRASP on the same platform as other projects at FedEx
EMEA.
Wipro proposes to re-engineer the base line GRASP in Microsoft .NET 2.0
environment using C#. The new, .NET version of GRASP will be termed as
GRASP.NET v1.
Responsibilities To Meet better project norm followed all the wipro policies & standards in
completing the given work. Helped out in achieving all the wipro norms
by doing successful testing process. Reproduced the QC issues and tested
them properly.
Involved in Testing the GRASP application. GRASP is a Reengineering
project and a Windows based .Net application. In this project, we have 7
modules and I worked for 5 modules. I was involved in writing System
test cases for 5 modules and also executed the same. I was involved in
writing Integration test cases and also executed the same. I was involved
in writing 50% of Installation and Migration test cases. I worked for
writing CR test cases and executed the same. I was involved in Adhoc
testing. I was involved in testing different builds. The Builds that I tested
were 22.
I was involved in Exhaustive Testing of the application and prevented in
increasing the count of the issues. Worked for Installation and Migration
related issues.
Given Max error free work.
12. In the process of testing the GRASP application, Tested 5 modules (5/7). I
found 70% of the bugs in all the 5 modules. The error rate was 50/module
and 2 errors/ page. As I have been involved in 5 modules each module
came up with several data base issues in which some were so critical.I
found many DB related issues and Unhandled Exceptions. I was also
involved in Regression testing.
