PROJECTS HANDLED
Project: HSDS (History Services Data Store)
Description: The History Services environment was part of a larger reporting suite for payments. These services
provided historical information about payments & customer activity. History Services included data &
service components. The data components HSDS retained historical customer activity for 2 years. The
service components provided access to this information.
The Transaction Event Processor writes payment information to the TXN database. The SOR for such
information is a Serialized Object containing compressed XML due to temporary technical limitations it
was decided to write a normalized copy of the payment information to TXN in a form which is compatible
with the legacy (1.0) payment data
An ETL process will extract data from the TXN database 3rd Normal Form P1.0 tables and feed it into the
Data Pipe, transform & load it into the appropriate History Reporting Databases those are HAPA (APAC),
HEMA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), HAWA (North America West) and HAEA (North America East)
depending on the payment's region
Project: Payment 2.0
Description: It was a new platform to build payment products. In year 2010, a new payment engine called
"Thunderbird" rolled out live. Starting year 2011, the existing payment flows routed thorough this new
payment engine flow by flow and use case by use case. This program was a 2-3 year long program,
different types of payments got processed by the new architecture and the main impact was wtransaction
table will no longer be available
Project: ETL Consolidation
Description: It was an effort to migrate use cases from current EDW servers in PHX to ETL servers in the SLC
Informatica Grid. This was part of the larger effort to consolidate data acquisition and loading into the
Data Cloud infrastructure. After the consolidation, the data was no longer be transferred across networks
instead the data was loaded directly into Teradata; instead the data was loaded directly from Informatica
Grid. The effort was to start with migrate the codes (Bteq, ksh, Perl and Informatica) from EDW servers in
PHX to ETL server in the SLC Informatica Grid from core26 in the phased manner
Project: Data Migration
Description: Mozart (Teradata) to Jaguar (Teradata) was a data replication process for analytics usage. Identified
around 100 tables in source (Mozart) and replicating the same in target (Jaguar)
Project: Custom Report
Description: It was developed as an adhoc report that provided the users with the ability to customize the report by
selecting data points that they wish to appear in the report. Users should have the ability to create, name,
save, edit, delete and schedule up to three such custom reports at any given time
Project: Project Harmony
Description: Project Harmony is designed to integrate the assets (infrastructure) Pay Pal acquired from the Verisign
acquisition. As part of this integration, the reports delivered to merchants needs to be integrated.
Currently, there are three infrastructures through which the reporting needs for various categories of
merchants are served.
Project: Pricing 2.0
Description: Modifications of transaction pricing for DCC and VT merchants (business accounts) started under the
Pricing 2.0 Feature. For Website Payments Pro (Pro 1.5/VT and 2.0/VT) monthly subscription fee increase
fee to $30.00 for US and UK. The same has to be reflecting on Financial Statement Report and search
payment history.
Project: VPS Reports in Actuate phase 1
Description: The VeriSign Pay flow Internet payment gateway service supported all major consumers’ credit card, debit
card, electronic check, purchase card, and ACH transactions. It’s robust & open architecture has been
designed to support payment transactions for small & mid-sized businesses to large enterprises. It was a
highly scalable, outsourced solution that can easily grow to hundreds of millions of transactions per
4. month. It was acquired by PayPal. The primary purpose of this feature was to better rationalize the
reporting features to be in line with Pro 1.5 and Pro 2.5 merchant expectations of the reporting functions
offered by PayPal and merchant manager due to migration of VPS reports

Description: It was an online Driving Safety/traffic school course provider throughout United States of America. It has
approved and non-approved Courses, all the approved Courses are approved by TEA, DMV and respective
County/court. I DRIVE SAFELY courses are mainly divided into the following classification- Ticket
Dismissal, Point Reduction, Insurance Discount, Safety Belt and Passenger safety, Teen Driver, Collision
Avoidance, etc.
