2. Information from article about OTHER research
and theory on the topic
You can use several slides to do this but don’t
overdo it!
3. Provide enough info for other people to decide
whether they can trust the findings of the study
Include information on, at least:
◦ Type of study: qualitative or quantitative (survey,
interviews, experiment, etc) and describe
◦ Sample (random or not, sample size, how selected)
◦ Measures – how were the indep. and dep. Variables
measured? Other variables included?
◦ Methods of analysis, how do they intend to analyze data
May use several slides but don’t overdo it!
4. This is the bulk of your power point presentation!
Did research support hypotheses? If not, why?
Include recreations of tables and graphs when
possible but you DO NOT have to include ALL of
the info from them, just most important parts
5. How do the findings of the article relate to its
literature review (do they support or go against
what you found in the literature review)?
How do the findings relate to class information?
6. Summary of findings (if necessary)
Was it a good article? Why or why not?
Limitations of article? Typically this includes a
critique of its methods
