The Barangay local Government unit (BLGU) of Quezon,
Mainit, Surigao del Norte is committed to empower the
people of Barangay Quezon to be peace loving
economically dependent with outmost respect to its
environment

4. Barangay Quezon has a newly purchased
ยพ hectare agricultural land purposely for
the establishment of a Barangay Material
Recovery Facility (BMRF) in support to the
implementation RA 9003 otherwise
known as The Ecological Solid Waste
Management Act of 2001
5. The BMRF can utilized only a trivia portion of the said land; hence, the BLGU
council has decided to develop the utilized portion of the land into a
production area through diversified farming approach.
The BLGU council requested the SSCT-Mainit Campus BAT Program to assist them to
develop the newly purchased ยพ hectare agricultural land by Establishing the
SUSTAINABLE INTEGRATED ORGANIC FARMING.
6. The project will capacitate the local vegetable growers with knowledge and
skills on technology related to Organic vegetables production, Animal Production and
farm management through training and establishment of Diversified Farm, specifically it
aims to:
OBJECTIVES
1. To provide lecture and hands-on activities on the technology related to organic
vegetable production management and Animal Production Management;
2. To develop the Diversified Farm that will showcase the different techniques
learned in growing vegetables.
7. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
FIRST PARTY SHALL:
1. Conducts Training Need Assessment and Survey on Socio-Economic Status of
the Community;
2. Train the growers on Organic Vegetable production and Animal Production
Management;
3. Assist the BLGU in the establishment of Diversified Farm
4. Assist/coach beneficiaries during the implementation;
8. 5. Monitor/evaluate the applicability of the technology of the production;
6. Gather data and documentation during the implementation; and
7. Prepare terminal report.
SECOND PARTY SHALL:
1. Identify participants of the training;
2. Provide the needed labor input in establishing the Diversified Farm garden;
3. Provide the needed Materials, Meals and Snacks of the participants and
Trainorโs;
9. 4. Allow the first party to have access into the area to conduct the needed project
activities;
5. Participate in the application of the production technology in vegetables, and
animal production and disseminate the best practices to neighboring farmers.
6. Assist in the monitoring of the project;
7. Provide training venue during capability building and land area for the
implementation of the project.
