● Positive thinking, or an optimistic attitude, is the practice of focusing
on the good in any given situation.

Is your glass half-empty or half-full?
How you answer this age-old question about positive thinking may reflect your outlook on life, your attitude toward yourself, and whether you're optimistic or pessimistic — and it may even affect your health.
Indeed, some studies show that personality traits such as optimism and pessimism can affect many areas of your health and well-being.
The positive thinking that usually comes with optimism is a key part of effective stress management.
And effective stress management is associated with many health benefits.
If you tend to be pessimistic, don't despair — you can learn positive thinking skills.
Who doesn’t remember the incident which went in making of Gandhi. During his Advocate days when Mohandas was thrown out of the 1st class of the train due to discrimination and racism, if he had scummed to negative thinking and accepted his state then we would not have today the Father of Nation. The whole urge of working for the people of the country and get the country free from foreign rule started with that ONE STRONG POSITIVE THOUGHT.
Back in 1919, an aspiring young cartoonist was fired from his job at a Kansas City newspaper. His editor told him he wasn’t creative enough and should look into work elsewhere. Had the cartoonist listened to his boss and given in to negative thinking, we wouldn’t have the work of Walt Disney.
Disney might have considered quitting or going after a different line of work, but he persisted. He believed he had what it took to succeed, and listened to the voice inside himself urging him to keep trying.
They turned to the power of positive thinking, which encouraged them to go after success instead of succumbing to the huge fear of failure.
You can adopt this mindset and experience all the benefits of positive thinking in your own life.
Positive thinking is good. But you should not try to use it to block out everything negative that happens in your life.
Sometimes bad stuff happens, and you will feel down about it.
It’s no good pretending that you don’t because forced positive thinking can be counterproductive.
For example:
“Yes, I’m having a bad day, but tomorrow will be better. I will go home now and I will be able to think of a solution to the problem in the morning when I am less tired.”
Filtering – You magnify the negative aspect and filter out all the positives from the day. When you filter out all the praises or good deeds done in the day and just keep focussing on what is not complete and what you have to do tomorrow
Personalization – when something bad occurs you start blaming yourself. You might not be the reason also but you do this
Catstrophizing – When you automatically start anticipating the worst ahead. Your car not starting in the morning and you anticipate everything is going to go bad today
Polarizing – When you are working in Binary bits i.e 1 or 0 Good and Bad. There is no middle ground at all. Either you are perfect or you are a failure
You will be divided into groups, and you will enter different rooms
You will be having 7-10 members in each group
Assign a scriber of your group
Assign a spokesperson pf your group – should be the quietest person
First 5 min you would list down the answers to these 4 questions
Once you are done with your listing discuss it among your group member and as a group produce a single sheet with these answers
Find a common ground and prepare a final sheet of a Stinky Fish of your group
