3. What is Drone?
● Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV)
● Unmanned aircraft or flying robot
● Can be remotely controlled by human operator or
fly autonomously by onboard computers

Nicola Tesla --
invented a remote-control & unmanned vehicles in 1898
“Teleautomation”
Modern development:
• Smaller, more powerful and more useful
e.g. adding cameras and GPS trackers
• From military use to commercial, civilian uses

5. Applications of drone
Drones have the capability of reaching the most remote areas with little to no
manpower needed and require the least amount of effort, time, and energy.
Three sectors: Military, Commercial, Personal.
