Ensure Sign Boards are displayed at required locations – Slippery, Wet floor, Electrical hazard, Fire extinguisher, First aid box,
Assembly point.
Never use appliances with faulty, frayed, exposed or cracked electrical wires – Surge protector should be installed wherever
required (ELCB, RCCB etc.,)
Only Authorized electricians(License) are allowed to work on electrical equipment's and Use of Appropriate Shock
resistant/Electrical Gloves are mandatory & Electrical gloves should be tested every six months.
Switch off power points before plugging or unplugging devices.
Every electrical distribution board should be provided with Rubber mats & double earthling – Earthing value should be checked
every year.
Provide Emergency Lights at various locations of the plant – Emergency lights should be identified & Checked frequently.

3. Precautionary Measures
11. Know the Fire extinguisher, First aid, Assembly point location & also ERT
team.
12. All aisles/Passages/Emergency exists should be kept free & Dry Always.
13. Check regularly water and drainage channels and conduct the
Necessary maintenance.
14. Don’t Touch Wires From Fallen Electricity Poles – Call the Electricity
board person.
15. Tube light(CFL) starter should be replaced after completing its Burning hour
and Copper ballast to be replaced with Electronic ballast to avoid short circuit
OR Use of LED tube lights are preferred(Saves energy & prevents fire).
16. Use of Industrial sockets & plugs for all the equipment's And All Domestic
(Wooden) Switch boards should be replaced to Industrial.(IP64 & IP45)
17. All forklift Battery should be kept dry & Clean to avoid moisture
contents.
18. Equipment must be properly grounded to prevent shock injuries &
Earthing test should be done every year/As suggested by Electrical
inspector.
19. A sufficient number of outlets will prevent circuit overloading.
5. 1. Carry out a thorough pre-monsoon check for your vehicle,
including batteries, tyres with recommended tyre pressure,
electrical wiring, engine and wipers
2. First and foremost: slow down! It takes longer to stop or adjust in wet
weather
3. Don't follow large trucks or buses too closely. Their tiers splash
water that ultimately obstructs your vision.
4. Be more alert . Watch out for brake lights in front of you.
5. Turn your headlights on even in a light rain, or in gloomy, foggy
or overcast conditions
6. Replace old or brittle wipers
7. Avoid off-road driving & Never drive beyond the limits of visibility
8. Never drive through moving water if you can't see the ground through
it; your car could be swept off the road
9. When driving through a puddle of uncertain depth, go slow. If it's deeper
than the bottom of your doors, turn around and find another route
10. If possible, stay off the road during heavy thunderstorms
11. Maintain a safe distance with the car ahead, one that's twice as longer
than in the dry. Braking distances are severely affected on wet roads
6. 12. Always stay connected with Metrological Dept/ Weather page / radio channel / news bulletin.
13. Concrete roads are very slippery, far more than our good coal tar roads. Bridges and flyovers can
also be extra slippery, so drive carefully over these areas.
14. Window fogging occurs due to a temperature difference between the inside surface of your glass
and the outside. For example, if you drive without the air-con and all your windows are shut, the cabin is
warmer than the outside, resulting in the window fogging up from inside. On the other hand, if you run
your air-con on full blast mode, the interiors of your car will be colder than the outside. Thus, your
glasses will fog up from the outside.
15. Remember, at any time, your life is more precious than your vehicle.
