- Adabas Server - 64 bit memory for larger buffers, can extend without bringing down Ada (OS already has 64 bit) - Extended catalog – we need long names like in Natural, store the long names in the FDT logically, will create info in the meta-data catalog, then archiving or masking or ACE can leverage and use in their own environments - Redefinition of field types, SQL and archiving and data masking can use it, level - Check utilities (ick, Ack, ORD and VAL) can run in parallel to the business - Mainframe first, OS a little longer because we have to come up with a replication solution Adabas LUW 6.3 - Optimize for Infrastrutcture - OpenVMS Itanium support - Windows 64-bit Adabas Data Masking – Wolfgang will brief me First step is to implement meta-data handling (MU, PE, Lobs etc) Mask on the fly, “invalidation”, replace values with a fixed pattern like XXXXs Adabas Data Archiving -enhanced rule support, complex rules, example cross checking against fields in a particular record has value “X”. This is key enhancement. - Adabas should be an archive, today it is simply a copy.
