MCR Steelworks are a subsidiary of the MCR Group which has been one of the largest
service providers to the construction industry in Ireland for the last ten years.
We design, manufacture, supply and fit internal and external, standard and bespoke
metalwork products for a broad range of building types including residential and
public buildings, office units, manufacturing, sports and medical facilities. We also
supply and fit innovative mezzanine, balcony and balustrade glazing systems.

MCR Steelworks can design and manufacture any balcony to
client or architect specification. Our design team can
accommodate all levels of structures, from standard balcony
design to one-off custom fabricated cantilever systems.
All balconies can be made to material specification as requested.
These can vary from simple mild steel and galvanised steel to
high-spec stainless steel or aluminium designs

4. Balustrade
MCR Steelworks’ knowledge and experience of steel and
aluminium balustrades is reflected in the broad product range
we offer.
We recognise that within the construction sector design needs
change almost weekly. With this in mind we can custom design,
manufacture and install balustrades with a wide variety of
finishes. These include mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium
with a range of compatible infills. Our product range covers
everything from standard solid bar or mesh to glass. These
products come with options such as perforated sheet, opaque
or transparent glass and much more.

5. Staircases
MCR Steelworks designs, manufactures and installs a full range
of staircase systems incorporating the stairwells and balustrades.
A typical MCR Steelworks staircase system incorporates all
elements including the structure, treads, landings, balustrades
and handrails.
Our product range includes all requirements from escape
staircases, to top specification staircases present in high profile
construction designs.
Feature staircases can be designed as fully integrated systems to
complement or contrast with other design features of any

6. Canopies
MCR Steelworks designs, manufactures and installs a full range
of canopy structures, as well as manufacturing canopies to
requested designs. Canopies are available in a painted or
powder coated galvanised finish, as well as a stainless steel
finish.
We provide a free standing or cantilever design with a range of
optional extra features.

7. Winter Gardens
Winter Gardens, a new and exciting concept for Ireland, has
been a central part of many architect designed apartment
blocks throughout Europe for the past 20 years. The innovative
system recently introduced on to the Irish market, is set to
become a significant new design feature as higher density living
becomes a greater reality in our urban centres.
In warm weather a quality balcony provides comfort and an
extra dimension to any apartment. However in poor weather
conditions a glazed winter garden balcony offers an additional
enclosed living space that is warm and energy efficient. The
interlocking glass system can be easily folded away in warm
weather ensuring all year round usage of the balcony.
With the engineering experience of MCR Steelworks and the
product knowledge our European business partners, we can
create this extra room that will add significant value to any
apartment.
Winter Gardens also reduce heating bills and energy
consumption because they further insulate the apartment.
Our custom designs enable easy installation of the Winter
Gardens on either concrete cantilevers or on specifically
designed steel bases, ensuring that buildings can incorporate
this product with no extra structural needs.

8. Structural Steel
The MCR Steelworks structural support portfolio of products
includes:
Light gauge steel frames for the construction of penthouse
apartments and similar light-weight structures. All types of
structural and architectural finishes can be accommodated
Steel supports (standard beams and slim floor beams) for hollow

A range of steel lintels that can be custom made to the client
