3. CANCER SURAKSHA
• Under this scheme, children, under 18 years, would be given free treatment for cancer
through designated Government hospitals in the state.
• This scheme is meant to cover the cost of drugs, investigations, procedures, implants
etc. for which Government does not provide free treatment and for which other patients
have to pay for.
• This scheme will not cover rent of pay wards, procurement of expensive drugs,
investigations etc. which would not be done in the normal course in similar cases.
4. THALOLAM
• Provide free treatment to the children below age of 18, who are suffering from Kidney
diseases, Cardiovascular diseases, Cerebral Palsy, Brittle Bone
Disease, Hemophilia, Thalassemia, Sickle Cell Anemia, Orthopedic deformities and other
Neuro- Developmental Disabilities, Congenital anomalies ( Endosulfan victims) and accident
cases which needs surgery.
• Initial assistance - Rs. 50,000
• Additional financial assistance- based on decision of the Superintendent, or Head of the
concerned Department
5. SRUTHITHARANGAM (COCHLEAR
IMPLANTATION SCHEME)
• Provide free cochlear implantation surgery for the children in the age
group of 0-5 years
• The children from poor families whose annual family income < Rs. 2
lakh is eligible.
• This scheme is implemented through Government as well as
selected empaneled private hospitals in this field.
• Also provide financial support for auditory verbal habilitation (AVH) to
operated children through empaneled hospital/ centers.
6. SNEHAPOORVAM
• OBJECTIVES
• To identify the orphaned children in the community.
• To assess and prioritize children in the greatest need
• To provide social protection to highly vulnerable groups of orphans by strengthening
traditional family and community systems for protecting and absorbing orphans.
• To improve the basic education, social integration and nutrition of the most vulnerable
groups of orphans towards the levels of other children in the community.
• To encourage families to live their children within the family set up rather than sending them
to orphanages.
• To extend a helping hand to these orphan’s families by way of providing financial assistance
to the education of children.
7. SAMASHWASAM
• SAMASHWASAM SCHEME – I – FOR Kidney patients
belonging to BPL families who are undergoing dialysis at
least once in a month. The assistance is Rs.1100/- per
month.
• SAMASHWASAM SCHEME – II-This scheme is meant for
the Kidney/liver transplanted patient whose annual family
income is below Rs. 1 lakh. The rate of assistance is Rs.
1000/- P/m and limited to 5 years from the date of
transplantation.
8. • SAMASHWASAM SCHEME – III-Under this scheme financial assistance of Rs.1000 per
month is given to the patients who are affected Hemophilia due to the lack of blood
clotting factors 8,9,11,13 and related diseases.
• SAMASHWASAM SCHEME – IV-Under this scheme financial assistance of Rs.2000/-
per month is distributed to the people other than Tribal suffering from Sickle Cell Anemia.
9. KARUNYA DEPOSIT
• This scheme is intended to raise resources for the medical and educational support of
physically or mentally challenged children attending special schools or who are inmates
of orphanages/ institutions etc.
• The objective is to attract depositors who are willing to deposit an amount of at least
Rs.One lakh or its multiples as CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) funds.
• 1. Medical care including surgery and special equipment.
• 2. Tuition Fees, including special tuition.
• 3. Nutritional supplement.
• 4. Clothes.
• 5. Computer.
10. VAYOMITHRAM
• Provides health careand support to elderly above the age of 65 years residing at
Corporation/Municipal Areas in the state.
• The Vayomithram project mainly provides free medicines through mobile clinics,
Palliative care, Counseling service, Help desk to the old age.

11. SNEHASPARSHAM
• It has been pointed out that there are many
women in Wayanad and other districts of Kerala
who are victims of social exploitation and
atrocities and are often forced to become
unmarried mothers
• Snehasparsham intends to protect and help
unwed mothers. As a part of this project
government is giving Rs1000/-. per month to
them.
