What is Remote network monitoring
system?
Remote network monitoring system is also known as RMON.RMON was developed to help
network administrator monitor and analyze data connected from local area network. RMON is a
part of management information base.
Remote Server
This is the server part which waits for clients connections and for each connected client, a new
frame appears showing the current client screen. When you move the mouse over the frame, this
results in moving the mouse. When you click any Particular client screen then it is automatically
zoom out. You can easily watch it is activity. After that when you click on cancelled button then
it is automatically go to previous screen short.
Remote Client
This the client side, its core function is sending a screen shot of the client's desktop every
predefined amount of time. Also it receives server commands such as "move the mouse
command", and then executes the command at the client's PC.
It has one more feature you can send any message from server to any client.
If client is following the instruction, it can continue working otherwise the server can shutdown
the client PC form server side.

Objective of the study:
This is the server part which waits for clients connections and for each connected
client, a new frame appears showing the current client screen. When you move the
mouse over the frame, this results in moving the mouse. When you click any Particular
client screen then it is automatically zoom out. You can easily watch it is activity. After
that when you click on cancelled button then it is automatically go to previous screen
short.
The message transfer System is meant to keep the security of the message send
between server to clients in a LAN.
You can send any message from server to any clients.
If client does not follow the instruction we can shutdown the client PC form server
side.
The main concern of this project is to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the
whole system.

PROBLEM DEFINITON
In a client server model, the administrator has to physically
monitor the client in order to avoid unauthorized access to
data.
Requirement Specification:
Each client has unique identified by its IP address.
A port is required for establishing connection.
The server should be able to access the client’s window.
The server should be able to check any unauthorized access
of data from client side.
It has required switch and hub for established the connection
between client and server.
It has required cross cable or coxiacal cable for connection
of computers.
6
SCOPE OF THE SOLUTION
In a LAN network, each client is identified by its own IP address. In the client-server
model, we can use remote network monitoring systems. The server part waits for
client’s connection and for each newly connected client; a new frame appears
showing the current client screen. When you move the mouse over the frame, this
results in moving the mouse. When you click any Particular client screen then it is
automatically zoom out.
You can easily watch it is activity. After that when you click on cancelled button then it
is automatically go to previous screen short. The client side, its core function is sending
a screen shot of the client's desktop every predefined amount of time. Also it receives
server commands such as "move the mouse command", then executes the command at
the client's PC.
It has one more feature you can send any message from server to
any client. If client is following the
instruction, It is ok otherwise we can shutdown the client PC form server side.
IMAGE FUTURE SCOPE
ANDENHANCEMENT
 The RMON can be used in schools, offices, internet cafe’s, organization’s
etc. as a step towards security implementation’s. The server part can thereby
closely monitor the clients using organization’s database and check
unauthorized access to data.
 ENHANCEMENTS:
 Video recording’s of the client’s window for non-repudiation.
 Used for troubleshoot any upcoming problem.
 Intrusion detection system can be implemented and penalty can be charged.
 Used to find statistics of host.
 To hold conversation between two different IP address.
 In future, we can have the integrate the video recording system facility for
the clients and client search engine that can provide the result on the basis of
different criteria to search. We can also have one more module of
implementing this project on this application.
