Induction heating is the process of heating electrically conductive materials, in which heat is generated inside the object itself, instead of an external heat source via the conduction or radiation, avoiding ambient contamination. Therefore, it is an environment friendly process. Any electrically conductive material can be heated by induction. By immersing these materials (mechanical parts, crucible, ...) in the heart of a magnetic field, we use eddy currents so that the part heats up by itself by the Joule effect. Induction heating is used in many metallurgical and industrial processes as melting, forging, hardening, brazing, welding, sealing, pre & post heating etc. and it is used in transportation industries as automotive, aeronautics, ship building, train and fast trains, energy industries as gas and petrol, solar and wind power, process industries as steel, semiconductor manufacturing, new materials including nano-materials and other sectors as medical, jewellery, food industry etc. The heating process requires transforming the frequency of the electrical network (50/60 Hz) to a specific frequency depending on the application. Processes like forging or melting requires frequencies in the range of hundreds of Hz while induction tube welding needs frequencies in the range of hundreds of kHz. This is where the unique SiCtech INDUCTION technology comes in. SiCtech engineers have developed a whole range of products that use the ultimate power components as the new silicon carbide transistors and the antiferroelectric capacitors pushing induction heating beyond the usual limits. 4. A Magic process
Induction heating is the processof heating
electrically conductive materials, in which
