The SiCMag S Family: Features and Ranges
SiCMag S family of power supplies, with
external customised heating station, corresponds
to a range of generators for induction heating
applications covering power levels from 12,5 to
50 kW and frequencies up to 400 kHz in two
ranges 5 to 100 kHz and 20 to 400 kHz.
Ultimate Technology
SiCMag S generators are based on the ultimate
power electronics technologies as Silicon Carbide
(SiC) MOS Transistors, advanced DC link using
antiferroelectric capacitors, ultrafast high
isolation circuitry and advanced transistor driving
circuits and fully digital controller all integrated in
a PCB, allowing an overall efficiency higher than
90% @40 kHz (inductor losses not included) and
consequently very small and compact chillers.
SiCMag S HMI is the developed SiCtech PLC.

up to 400 kHz in two frequency ranges, 5 to 100 kHz and

L generators many induction heating applications can be

32. SiCMobile generators are very small and lightly power supplies that
includes in a single cabinet the power section, as well as the resonant
capacitor bank and can be placed in a table as well as in a mobile unit. The
output can be connected to a conventional or coaxial reactive matching
transformer for load adaptation.
Ultimate Technology
SiCMobile generators are based on the ultimate power electronics
technologies as Silicon Carbide (SiC) MOS Transistors, advanced DC link
using antiferroelectric capacitors, ultrafast high isolation circuitry and
advanced transistor driving circuits and fully digital controller all integrated
in a PCB, allowing an overall efficiency higher than 90% @40 kHz (inductor
losses not included) and consequently very small and compact chillers.
Multi-power Port Technology
SiCMobile generators can handle two different power outputs totally
independent each other with working possibilities at different power and
frequencies at the same time.
Simple Use
SiCMobile generators are very simple to operate as the control features simplifies the operation of the inverter and the HMI guides the user with very simple
instructions to operate the machine.
Wide range of Load Matching
Load matching in SiCMobile generators is very simple task as the inverter has 200% overcurrent capacity making that
every workpiece can be heated with the same inductor and due to their special design, these generators can provide 200%
intermittent power with a duty cycle of 50%.

Quality at SiCtech Induction- Modules
After the assembly of the power power modules, SiCtech
Induction performs the following quality tests to assure the
quality of the delivery:
• Automatic test to detect the quality of the assembled
PCB by the suppliers with no power
• Vibration test
• Repetition of the automatic test after vibration
• Communication test CAN to PLC
• Modules parallel configuration tests
• Cooling test ( water circuits tests)
• High Pot test
• Power tests with dummy load at 125% of the
maximum current
• Power tests with dummy at 125% maximum voltage
• Thermal test at full power
• Inductor short circuit ruggedness of the modules
• Inductor grounding tests
