2. What is IoE ?
IoE brings together People,
Process, Data, and Things to
make networked connections more
relevant and valuable than ever
before – turning information into
actions that create new capeabilities
and richer experiences.
IOE
People
Process
Data
Things
3. IoE Explained -
• Connecting people in more relevant
way.
• Delivering the right information to
the right person(or machine) at the
right time.
• Converting data into more useful
information for decision making.
• Physical devices and objects
connected to the Intelligent decision
making systems or Virtual Agents.
4. The Evolution of the IoE
The Internet of Everything comes as a no surpise and is the culimination of sequential
advances in technology and increasing connected devices.
5. Internet Growth Occurring in a Accelerating
Wave :
“Fixed
Computing”-
200M
in1998.
“Mobility” –
10B in 2000.
“Internet of
things” – 20B
in 2015
“Internet of
Everything”
– 50B
Expected by
2020.
The Growth in Devices being connected
every year may lead to Transition from
IPv4 to IPv6.
Accodring to Cisco, in 2020, there will be
up to 50 billion devices connected with
unique IP addresses.
50 billion connects 1 add’s another 50
billion connections.
6. • Connectivity among People,
Things, Data, Process.
• The IoE builds on the foundation
of IoT by adding Network
Intelligence using Virtual Agents
over TCP/IP based on real-time
data.
• Multi way communication
i.e.,(P2M, P2P, M2M).
IOT IOE
• Connectivity among physical
Things.
• Devices are incapable of
generating, transmitting and
receiving data Unless augmented,
manipulated or signaled.
• One way communication – (P2M).

7. What is a Virtual
Agent ?
A Virtual Agent is an computer
generated, animated, artificial
intelligence virtual character that
serves as an online customer
service representative. It leads a
intelligent conversation with
users, responds to their questions
and performs adequate task's
given by them.
E.g.: Siri
8. Virtual Agent -
• A Virtual Agent is a Web Application that
looks like a live chat.
• You ask a question, you get the solution for it,
but the solution is provided by the Artificial
intelligence not Humans.
• Since each device is connected to the
internet, each device can be controlled by the
virtual agent.
• Therefore, end users can engage one Virtual
agent to manage an infinite number of
devices.
9. IoE Making Roads Safer – Connected Cars example
• All vehicles communicating data
with one another will eventually lead
to self driving cars.
• Connected cars, will be able to make
decisions about traffic to take
informed decisions. That will deliver
safer road conditions and more
predictability while driving.
• Fewer Traffic Collisions.
• Automatic Parking
10. IoE Health Care - example
• Patient ingests sensor which beams data
to phone, than over network.
• Remote monitoring and control is
extremely compelling for healthcare.
• West wireless medicine launched in
March 2009 to develop these kinds of
technologies.
11. IOE –Solutions for Tomorrow.
• Conquering Climate Change.
• Hunger :
By understanding and predicting long-
term weather patterns, farmers will be
able to plant corps that have greatest
chance for success.
• Provide Clean drinkable water.
In India, 2.1 trillion gallons of dringking
water are lost due to insufficient
infrastructure.
12. These are some of the Major challenges
related with Internet of Everything.
➔ Transition to IPv6
➔ Security – (Large attack surface)
➔ Privacy
➔ Energy Source for billions of
sensors
Challenges :
13. Problems :
These are some of the problems related with
Internet of Everything.
➔ Privacy & Security Issues
➔ Loss of Jobs
➔ Over Reliance on Technology
➔ Potential of WideSpread
Malware
15. Accodring to Cisco, in 2020,
there will be up to 30 billion
devices connected with
unique IP addresses.
That’s 6 devices per person
16. In May 2011 the UN
Declared INTERNET as a
BASIC
FUNDEMENTAL
HUMAN RIGHT.

Digital Rights:
The right to Internet
access, also known as
the right to broadband, is
the view that all people
must be able to access
the Internet in order to
exercise and enjoy their
rights to freedom of
expression and opinion
