2. NOT SO SCARY HALLOWEEN/add one
People are invited to recycle Halloween costumes by exchanging them for a “new to you” costume.
Bring gently worn Halloween costumes, from baby to adult sizes, on hangers with accessories to the Dos
Lagos Management Office through October 12 to receive a costume exchange certificate. Use the
certificate to select a “new” gently used costume on October 13 from 1 – 4 p.m. at adjacent to the Little
Pumkins race course at The Shops at Dos Lagos. Costumes remaining after 4 p.m. on October 13 will be
donated to The Settlement House.
Visitors to the Ocober 13 event can also get a flu shot from 1 – 4 p.m. According to the Center for
Disease Control, vaccination before December is best since this timing ensures that protective antibodies
are in place before flu activity is typically at its highest.
October 20 Dogtoberfest
All Breed Dog Rescue and Purina Pro Plan Rally to Rescue join The Shops at Dos Lagos to present the
Dogtoberfest event with live entertainment, exciting games and tasty food. The public is invited to this

chipping, animal teeth cleaning and visit with pet trainers, groomers and other animal product experts.
