LOCATION: Sulaymaniyah / Iraq REPORTS TO: Chief Accountant
Position Purpose:
The Senior accountant is responsible for preparing financial Statements and monitoring and
recording daily transactions from each Customers, suppliers and Employees through banks then
reconciling with Statements and updating relevant Statements on daily basis, record transactions
and monitoring Fixed assets then updating on monthly basis with Depreciation and amortization.
follow up on all payments with relevant departments to prepare monthly required analysis.
Check and review transactions and reports on timely manner to control right data recording and
an accurate balance in system.
Position Accountabilities:
 preparing Financial Statements (P&L, B.S. and Acc. Analysis)
 Review all invoices with Purchase Order for appropriate documentation and approval.
 Handling Customer balance and Statements for Month-end (Monthly Closing Procedure).
 Process journal entries on a monthly basis for Month-closing.
 Controlling PPE fixed asset report and Recording Depreciation and Amortization (Monthly)
 Prepare the required analysis in monthly closing (A/R, Trade Receivables, A/P, Advance
trade, Advance nontrade, Advance to the employee, accrual, Payable and Prepaid
statement)
 Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports, and
recording entries.
 Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
 Verifies Customer and vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related
transactions.
 Maintains historical records by microfilming and filing documents.
 Prepare and share balance confirmation for Customer/Vendor with Sales And procurement
teams on a quarterly basis.
 Protects the organization's value by keeping the information confidential.
Qualifications/Experience/Skills:
 Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Manufacturing fields also one year being in a similar
role will be an advantage.
 Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
 Knowledge of general accounting procedures and relevant accounting software
 Information Regarding, Sales, Marketing and logistic.
 Excellent math abilities and working knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods for
market.
 Strong teamwork, monitoring, supervising, influential skills, analytical mindset, and
excellent
 Effective in building good working relationships with the Client, Contractors, and the
Project Team
 Contribute and share ideas and support others.
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
