Water drains away from the tank and associated piping manifolds
The
indication
of
standing
water
and
significant
sagging
on
a
fixed
cone
tank
roof
during
a
tank
in-‐service
indicates:
Potential rafter failure
When
a
tank
is
out-‐of-‐service
the
bottom
interior
surface
may
be
quickly
checked
for
pitting,
blisters,
low
or
high
spots,
etc.
by
using:
A flashlight close to and parallel with the tank bottom.
The
condition

applicable)
of
an
internal
sump
of
an
out-‐of-‐service
tank
should
be
checked
by:
Removing any liquid to allow for complete inspection.
