What is a processor?
A processor is the logic circuitry that
responds to and processes the
basic instructions that drive a computer.
The four primary functions of a processor
are fetch, decode, execute and writeback.
The basic elements of a processor:
The arithmetic logic unit (ALU)
The floating point unit(FPU)
Registers
Cache memory

It was founded by Steve Jobs , Steve
Wozniak, Ronald Wayne.
On April 1,1976.
From 1976-1977 this company is
known as Apple Computer
Company.
From 1977-2007 company named to
Apple Computer, Inc.
They ran industries like computer
hardware , computer software ,
computer electronics , Digital
distribution , semiconductors ,
fabless silicon design.
APPLE MOBILE PROCESSORS
 These processors are design by apple and manufactured by Samsung and TSMC.
 Apple lunched it’s first processor on March 2010.

It was lunched in the year march 2010.
The Apple A4 is a 32-bit package on
package (PoP) system-on-a-chip (SoC) designed
by Apple Inc. And manufactured by Samsung.
It has clock speed 800MHz-1GHz.
Size is 45nm.
The Microarchitecture used is ARM Cotex-A8.
The chip commercially debuted with the release
of Apple's iPad tablet followed shortly by
the iPhone4 smartphone, the iPod Touch (4th
generation), and the Apple TV (2nd generation).
Apple A5
It was lunched in the year 2011
The Apple A5 is a 32-bit system-on-a-chip designed
by Apple Inc. and manufactured by Samsung.
It has clock speed of 0.8GHz -1GHz.
It was lunched in 2 sizes 45nm in 2011 and 32nm in
2012.
The Microarchitecture used is ARM Cotex-A9.
Apple uses the first version of the A5 chip in
the iPhone 4S, and iPad 2.
Apple used a second version of the A5 chip in
the third generation Apple TV, iPod Touch fifth
generation, the iPad mini.
Apple A5X

vi. This chip is used in iPad Pro (12.9 in.) (1st
generation) , iPad Pro (9.7 in.).

ΩThe Apple A10 Fusion is a 64-bit ARM-
based system on a chip (SoC), designed by Apple
Inc. and manufactured by TSMC.
ΩThe Microarchitecture used is Hurricane and
Zephyr both( ARMv8-A) Compatible.
ΩIt’s clock speed is 2.34GHz.
ΩIt’s size is 16nm.
ΩThis chip is used in iPhone 7 and 7 Plus , iPad
(2018).

Ꙉ It was lunched in the year 2017 .
Ꙉ The Apple A10X Fusion is a 64-bit ARM-

Inc. and manufactured by TSMC.

Zephyr both( ARMv8-A) Compatible.

Ꙉ It’s size is 10nm.
Ꙉ This chip is used in 10.5" iPad Pro , 12.9" iPad Pro

  • 3. What is a processor? A processor is the logic circuitry that responds to and processes the basic instructions that drive a computer. The four primary functions of a processor are fetch, decode, execute and writeback. The basic elements of a processor: The arithmetic logic unit (ALU) The floating point unit(FPU) Registers Cache memory

Apple Inc., It was founded by Steve Jobs , Steve Wozniak, Ronald Wayne. On April 1,1976. From 1976-1977 this company is known as Apple Computer Company. From 1977-2007 company named to Apple Computer, Inc. They ran industries like computer hardware , computer software , computer electronics , Digital distribution , semiconductors , fabless silicon design.

  • 7. Apple A4 It was lunched in the year march 2010. The Apple A4 is a 32-bit package on package (PoP) system-on-a-chip (SoC) designed by Apple Inc. And manufactured by Samsung. It has clock speed 800MHz-1GHz. Size is 45nm. The Microarchitecture used is ARM Cotex-A8. The chip commercially debuted with the release of Apple's iPad tablet followed shortly by the iPhone4 smartphone, the iPod Touch (4th generation), and the Apple TV (2nd generation).

Apple A5 It was lunched in the year 2011 The Apple A5 is a 32-bit system-on-a-chip designed by Apple Inc. and manufactured by Samsung. It has clock speed of 0.8GHz -1GHz. It was lunched in 2 sizes 45nm in 2011 and 32nm in 2012. The Microarchitecture used is ARM Cotex-A9. Apple uses the first version of the A5 chip in the iPhone 4S, and iPad 2. Apple used a second version of the A5 chip in the third generation Apple TV, iPod Touch fifth generation, the iPad mini.

The Microarchitecture used is Twister ( ARMv8-A) Compatible. v. It’s size is 16nm. vi. This chip is used in iPad Pro (12.9 in.) (1st generation) , iPad Pro (9.7 in.).
