1. Statement of Purpose
Information technology is a growing field that offers relatively secure positions for those with
solid technical skills and having higher degree in IT-related field. The majority of career
tracks in IT entail design and operational tasks which is related to computer hardware
components, networks and software applications and that is why the demand for IT
professionals is high at present. They are one of the highest paid segments in the whole
world as well. This attracted me towards IT and made me realize that I should develop my
career in IT. I completed my SSC in Science from Chittagong Government High School in
May 2013 and furthermore completed my Ontario Secondary School Diploma (equivalent to
HSC degree) in June 2015 from “Sunway College Malaysia”. After which I returned back to
my home and planned to start my education journey in the field of IT but my passion and
dedication towards IT helped me to obtain a position in Sunny side school as a Computer
Teacher since I believe providing teaching to students would sharp my basic computing and
IT knowledge. I have an understanding that if get practical knowledge first I will be able to
recognize my necessity areas regarding further education and can go for the specific
passage and keep me ahead from my peers. As the recent trends in technology has
increased likewise, my desire towards becoming an IT Professional grew stronger with time.
Importantly, it is imperative for an individual wishing to be an IT Professional to have the
knowledge on all key aspects, like; Communication, Database Management, Software
application and Networking as new ideas and concepts are being developed each day to
improve modern technology. Hence, In order to acquire this knowledge and skills I need to
learn from such an institute which maintains international quality, provides superior teaching
and degree as well as have all features to build a student to a highly qualified professional
person. Considering those factors I started doing research and finally found diploma of IT
leading to bachelor of ICT of SIBT_Western Sydney University which exactly meets with my
needs. Course outline offered by them covers most of the IT subjects with various
specializations available and they are very caring and provide special attention to their
international students which help them to indulge themselves in their studies and perform
better in the long run. The quality of local education is not high compared to global education
standards and to be an IT Graduate from a foreign institute will give an advantage to secure
a good career and hence obtain better pay plan. Thus it is my desire to study in SIBT_
Western Sydney University so I can get the best possible knowledge in IT and convert that
knowledge into revenue for myself and work for the benefit of my future. I am aware of the
kind of patience, dedication and perseverance needed to study in this area and I believe my
background shall place me in a unique position in exploring the emerging technologies and
methodologies of this field. Today I am more ambitious to learn new things and new
experiences those can be of help for my future professional career and have deep ample
social conscience in me that can be acquired through good academics at SIBT_ Western
Sydney University.

facilities, fantastic student service, very helpful and knowledgeable lecturer and academic
staff and not to mention its convenient location. This university prepares the students for the

courses that are taught by industry professionals.
Australia is now one of the most attractive countries in the world. Australia provides quality
education to international students with impressive education facilities. It is a very well
recognized country in the world for their education system. It’s a dynamic modern country
filled with enthusiastic friendly people. It provides a unique kind of education and a learning
style that encourages one to be innovative, creative and to think independently. Australia is a
peaceful country and it provides a vibrant city life with lots of exposure to meet with people
from different corners of the world. The standard of Education and the global acceptance of
the degree are unthinkable in a developing country like Bangladesh. Australian culture is
very nice and weather is similar to Bangladesh. I will also be able to live independently and
in a self-reliant manner which will definitely boost my educational venture in Australia.
In these degrees, I will develop my knowledge and expertise in IT management and develop
the skills to address the wide range of technological issues that arise in the job industry. First
I will study diploma program than after finishing that I will go for the advanced one. In that
program I will fairly introduced with the basic and fundamental things of IT which will help me
to create a solid foundation for studying bachelor subjects and obviously my experience will
assist me on that as well. In addition, as I am from science background it will be easier for
me to study ICT to understand the process and needs of my career prospects, that’s what
made me to go for it. On top of that, I got the international exposure and know the value of
studying with a diverse group of people in abroad as I have already studied my Secondary
School Diploma in Malaysia.
Information and communication Technology is a valuable and demandable subject and I
believe this degree will help me to make my way towards technology sectors in any reputed
organization. I have a plan that after completing my study I will return to my home country to
fulfil my dream and ambition which is do something very impressive in improving the IT
sector of my home country through my job. Current job market needs more multi-
dimensional and cross cultural skill and qualification. This course will develop a balanced
foundation in the knowledge, key skills and strategies of ICT that can be applied in a range
of business and ability to demonstrate creative and innovative problem solving skill. I am
determined that this course will provide me a higher standard level in our society and also
give me the opportunity to serve the nation as well.
