4. Problem Statement:
population is increasing day by day and the
conventional energy sources are lessening.
The extensive usage of energy has resulted in an
energy crisis over the few years.
the conventional energy sources are the main
reason for the pollution of atomosphere.
5. Aims and
Objectives:
• Generation of electricity without destroying the nature
The aim of our project is:
• To design a mechanism based on Speed breakers
• develop a model with rack & pinion arrangement.
• investigate and analyze electric power generation
utilizing by the kinetic energy over the speed breakers.
The objectives of our project include:

9. First of all, we have to make a Frame Model of Steel.
As weight is applied on the bumper, there is a downward movement
come in the rack creating linear motion.
The pinions rotate as they are connected on both sides of the rack..
Experimental Setup
Methodology
10. Experimental
Setup
At this particular moment, linear motion converts
into angular motion.
This generating EMF in the generator which
produce energy.
then sent to the storage battery where it is stored
during the day time and can be used in the
night time .
13. Method Of
Analysis
CRANK-SHAFT MECHANISM
are required to be mounted on bearings which
creates balancing problem leading to
mechanical vibrations which in turn damage
the bearings.
ROLLER MECHANISM
Maintenance will be very difficult.
Might cause collision.
15. Mass of a regular car = 1600kg (Avg.)
Weight of car = Mass * Acceleration due to gravity
= 1600kg * 9.8ms-2 = 15680N
Height of Speed Breaker = 15cm
Work done = Force * Displacement = Weight of car
* Height of Speed Breaker = 15680N * 0.15m = 2352Nm
Power = Work done / time = 2352Nm / 60s = 39.2W
Power generated in a day = 39.2W * 24hr * 60 min = 56.45 KW
Calculation
16. Expected
Results:
by using this arrangement we can
save lot of energy which can be used
for the fulfillment of future demands
17. Proposed Project and Society:
Positive impacts upon our society through
proposed SDP are immense.
This prototype model required not a big
investment and have a simple construction.
And this project put a relief to the growing
consumers demand.
18. Budget Description:
Estimate
Rough estimate of the budget for our SDP prototype model will be 25000
Rupees.
Budget
Budget required for this SDP model will be utilized/spend half of by the
departmnet and half of by ourselves
19. Utilization of
Results:
We can use these results at any level such as
Traffic signal,streetlight...
Now a days, Lack of electricity has become a
major issue and due to this issue, consumer
had to pay many type of heavy bills for
consumption of electricity that he/she had not
used.
