The document provides a summary and analysis of 1 Corinthians 6:12-20. It discusses four key points:
1) Paul argues that while certain acts may be permissible, they are not helpful for spiritual growth as Christians.
2) Our bodies belong to Christ and should not be used for prostitution.
3) When united with the Lord through faith, we become one spirit with him. Casual sex violates this unity.
4) Our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, so we must glorify God through how we use our bodies. The document calls people to repent from misusing their bodies and instead unite with Christ.
3. 58 AD
4. A. Permissible but not Helpful. (v. 12)
•They were using their “liberty” as a
license to sin. For example party spirit.
For Paul it is permissible but if you are a
Christian that will not help you grow in
the Lord and your spirituality.
5. B. Our Body Belongs to the Messiah—Never
Prostitute it (vv.13-16)
prostitute (1Cor. 6: 15-17).

8. C. Our Body Unites With the Lord—One
Spirit With Him (v.17)
You know that the person who unites himself with a prostitute
becomes one body with her, don't you? For it is said, "The two will
become one flesh." 1Co 6:17 says, “But the person who unites himself
with the Lord becomes one spirit with him.”
Ginamit ni Paul ang "The two will become one flesh." Ang phrase na
ginagamit sa isang kasalan. Isang katotohan at simbolo ng pagiging
kaisa natin kay Cristo sa habang buhay.
9. C. Our Body Unites With the Lord—One
Spirit With Him (v.17)
In the Biblical understanding of sex, there is no such thing as “casual sex.”
Since we belong to Jesus - body, soul, and spirit - we have no right to give any
part of ourselves away to an “unauthorized” person! (Fee)
Cristo, we are violating Christ’s body! For example, sex without the blessing
of marriage, even lovers who consent with each other, drinking and
intoxicating, drug using and addiction, smoking, suicide, etc.
Again as the Apostle Paul says in 1 Corinthians 6:17, “the person who unites
himself with the Lord becomes one spirit with him.” Are you one spirit with
Jesus? Raise your hands! Protect your body! Protect the body of the Lord!
10. D. Our Body is a Sanctuary of the Holy
Spirit (vv.19-20).
“You know that your body is a sanctuary of the Holy Spirit
who is in you, whom you have received from God, don't you?
You do not belong to yourselves, because you were bought
for a price….” (v.19-20).
11. Repent
Brethren, kumusta kayo? Saan ninyo madalas gamitin ang
katawan ng Panginoon? If we are in the dark moments of our
lives or perhaps we are in the quicksand of our lives, there’s only
one who could save us from this difficult situation, Jesus Crist.
He already bought you with his life. If we repent from all our
sins—meaning if we commit to change our mind, change our
heart and change our direction in life, Paul says in Romans, “for
the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in
union with the Messiah Jesus our Lord” (6:23).
12. Repent
The Apostle Paul says, “Flee fornication. Every sin that a
man does is outside the body, but he who commits
fornication sins against his own body” (I Cor 6:18, MKJV).
After you escape from immorality, Paul encourages us “you
were bought for a price. Therefore, glorify God with your
bodies.” (I Cor. 6:20) (1Co 6:20) “Sapagka't kayo'y binili na,
13. Matthew 11: 28-30
Jesus says in Matthew 11: 28-30, “Come unto
me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and
I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you,
and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in
heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
