Introduced in the 1980s.
Instead of paper, the paperless office would use modern
technology to accomplish all of the same goals.
Going paperless can make documentation and information
sharing easier, keep personal information more secure and help the
environment.
3. Objectives of Paperless Office:
Saves Time: It helps in saving time.
Saves Money: It also helps us to save money.
Saves Space: It also helps to maintain proper
space in the office.
Improves Security: It allows to give proper
security to the important documents.

Security Risks and Viruses.

Software Maintenance.
Human Inaccuracy.
Frequent Changes in Technology.
Data Loss.
6. 3 R’s for Paperless:
a) Reduce: your paper consumption.
b) Reuse: paper by placing bins.
c) Recycle: paper that has been used.
7. Ways to go Paperless:
1. Use scan to e-mail instead of faxing.
2. Commit to all online banking.
3. File Taxes Electronically.
4. Using E-Brochure instead of Printed Brochure.
5. Using Social media tools(Dropbox, G-Drive, etc.).
6. Replace paper napkins with cloth material.
8. Paperless Office concept in India:
The concept of paperless is emerging on the country. The
Government of India has taken action to shift to paperless functioning
mode in a time bound manner. The printed Budget copies has been
halved the number of 5100 in 2016. “Digital India”, “Go Green”, “Paper
Free” are some measures taken by the government. The IT Mission,
Kerala was declared the first government paperless office.
