Finding Forever Rescue is planning a big year in 2014 with several updates and expansions. They are overhauling their volunteer program and adding new positions like a Grant Specialist and Media/Fundraising Coordinator. With past fundraising success, they will expand their cat wing to house more felines. They also plan to apply for multiple grants and hold various fundraising events throughout the year, including an Annual Walk for Bully Breed Legislation in April and a Vegan Bake Sale in May.

January 2014 Updates
2014 is going to be a big year for FFR. We have a lot of plans in store
for the community both inside and outside our facility. First, we are
giving our volunteer program a complete overhaul and expanding the
available positions. In addition to Administrative Assistant, we will have
a Grant Specialist along with a Media and Fundraising Coordinator.
We are also splitting the Adoption Center Associate position into
Kennel Assistant and Adoption Specialist. The Page position will assist
in both administrative and adoption center responsibilities as needed.
Later in the year, we will be working with local schools to add our
organization to the list of ways students can earn community service
credits.
Our current administrative assistant Glenda Douglas along with vet
tech and owner Shawn Zates will be spending the month expanding
the descriptions of our adoptable pets on Petfinder.com in efforts to gain our furry friends more attention.
With the success of our last fundraiser, we are able to expand
our cat wing to accommodate 10-15 more rescued felines. We
hope to finish this project by November. Last year we obtained
the West Motors Betty White Grant totaling $5,000. This year
we will be applying for the $3,000 All-Star Community Service
Grant and the $5,000 Footprints of Baltimore Grant. Along with
these grants there will be several fundraising events
throughout the year. We have our Annual Walk for Bully Breed
Legislation in April and the Vegan Bake Sale in May. If you
wish to participate in the walk or want to bring a dish to the
bake sale, email Glenda Douglas at info@FFR.org.
We hope you will join us in what is expected to be a
prosperous year for our organization and animal advocacy as a
whole. Stop by and see the wonderful puppies and kitties we have available like Sasha, the three-legged
Pomeranian who loves to run.
