6. Ammonia Vapor Equalization Header Project
■ Business Case: The current tank equalization header has a drop leg
in the lines, where liquid can get trapped and build up pressure. The
replacement line has the header spanning overtop the tanks, which
will provide better equalization and safer operation.
■ Project Scope: Participating in daily pre-job briefs, ordering materials,
and creating Purge & Repair plans.
■ Lessons Learned: Being Flexible
Communication
Decision Making Process
LOTO Requirements
Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system

Daily Pre-Job Briefs
■ For each pre-job I would introduce a daily PSM / safety topic, as
well as any new information on the project.

Purge and Repair Plans
■ Header is to be implemented in 3 Stages,
– Stage 1 – Spade Flange (pancake) on each tank where header attaches.
– Stage 2 – Put a high-point vent on 2A and 2B Tank Truck unloading lines.
– Stage 3 – Tie Header into system.
