The Pakistani government has three branches: the legislative, executive, and judicial. The legislative branch is called the Parliament which consists of the 342-member National Assembly and 100-member Senate. The executive branch is headed by the Prime Minister who is elected by the National Assembly. The Prime Minister appoints the cabinet and oversees government departments. The judicial branch is headed by the Supreme Court and includes high courts and subordinate courts.
3. The Government of Pakistan is a federal government
established by the Constitution of Pakistan. All powers are
vested by the Constitution in the Parliament the Prime
Minister and the Supreme Court. The legislative branch is
known as the "Parliament”. All the Cabinet ministers and
the Prime Minister are members of Parliament as well as
jointly accountable to the Parliament. Government is
composed of the three branches: executive, legislative, and

THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY:-: The National Assembly is called a
lower chamber and people-elected 342-members in the election
for a period of five years from the whole country on the basis of
population.
THE SENATE:-: The Senate is called an upper chamber and the total
seats of this house is 100 but 4 seats r added in the total strength
just to secure proper representation of minorities in this chamber.
All these senators are elected indirectly for six-years term.

9. EXECUTIVE:-
The executive branch of government is the one that has sole authority and responsibility for the daily
administration of the state bureau cracy. The Prime Minister of Pakistan is the executive head of
government and elected by the people in direct election of the parliament. He is
responsible for appointing a cabinet as to run the govt departments. He is duly appoints

3:- Chairmen in all state institutions and Corporations
4:- Chief Ministers of Four Provinces
5;- Key administrative and military appointments in the Pakistan Armed Forces
6;-The Chairmen and other Members of the federal commissions and public institutions.

President is also an Executive part of Govt. He is the head of Govt and is responsible for a variety of
