The Cast
Rue-Amandla Stenberg
        Rue, played by Amandla Stenberg was the
        smallest and youngest tribute in the
        games; she was from District 11 . The
        other contestants seemed to
        underestimate her and failed to realise
        her secret ‘hopping' ability.
        Rue tragically died when Marvel thrust a
        spear in her stomach. She had formed an
        alliance with Katniss Everdeen after
        warning her about a nest of the tracker
        jackers. As a memorial of Rue's death,
        Katniss covered her in flowers and sang
        to her, indicating to the Capitol that Rue
        was not just a piece in their games.
Katniss Everdeen-Jennifer
         Lawrence
    Jennifer Lawrence played      She was a volunteer tribute,
    the leading role of Katniss   taking the place of her twelve

       •   Clove was played by actress Isabelle
           Fuhrman (born 25 February 1997).
       •   She was the female tribute from District
           2, one of her best skills was knife
           throwing, a skill she used to try kill
           Katniss during the dash to the Cornucopia.
       •   She was amongst the career tributes that
           formed an alliance at the start of the
           games along with Peeta Mellark.

               It is during her attempt to kill Katniss
               that Clove is killed. Thresh, who
               appears unexpectedly, blames her for
               killing Rue. Clove truthfully answers
               that it was not her and screams for
               Cato but Thresh believes she is
               bluffing and dents her head with a
               stone which causes her an immediate
               death.
Cato-Alexander Ludwig




•   Alexander Richard Ludwig played

      •   Glimmer was able to grab a bow and arrows
          from the Cornucopia, items that Katniss
          was certain she could’ve done much better
          with.
      •   She was killed by tracker jackers whose
          nest was cut from the tree above by
          Katniss. Glimmer screamed for help but no
          one came to her rescue.
      •   Katniss who, despite being stung my
          tracker jackers, was able to retrieve the
          bow and arrows from Glimmer once she’d
          died.
Peeta Mellark-Josh Hutchterson
                                        •   Peeta, teams up with the Career
                                            pack in an attempt to keep
                                            Katniss safe during the games. It
                                            is he who tells her to run from
                                            the others, just after she drops
                                            the tracker jacker nest on them (
                                            which kills Glimmer). Cato
                                            witnesses this and cuts Peeta in
                                            his upper thigh.
                                        •   Katniss finds Peeta, incredibly ill
•   Josh Hutchterson plays Peeta            camouflaged by a stream. With
