• Flood Directive
National:
• Water Act (2002): Detailed River Basin Management plans for protection
from harmful water effects (Flood risk management plan)
• Rules on the methodology for determination of hazard and risk
areas (adopted july 2007)
• Decree on terms and limitations for building in flood hazard
and risk areas (adoption planned in mid 2008)
• National Work Programme for Flood Risk Management
(adoption planned in mid 2008)

Purpose:
- information about flood (and erosion) conditions of the area,
- basis for spatial planning (limits, mapping),
- publicly available (scale 1:50000)
Basis:
- analysis of past events, historic/ archive data and past research.
Contents:
- flood and (erosion) areas
- registered events
- common information concerning floods and erosion
