Application forCEO at SIEMENS
Dear Siror Madam,
I am pursuing MBA at XYZ Business School and expecting to graduate in July 2017. I am enticed to apply
for my role as associate of the CEO program at SIEMENS because I find SIEMENS, a company nearest to
my core values in this era of climate change having the punch-line “The world’s population is growing-
the demand for energy is growing faster. This presents four core challenges for a sustainable energy
system: security of supply, affordability, climate protection and resource efficiency. It will take ingenuity
to succeed.
I am confident that the HR team at SIEMENS will find my portfolio packed with qualities, they are
seeking in their future associate of the CEO program like resourceful solution seeker, negotiator,
strategist, ability to lead from front, having international exposure with multilingual background and
years of sales and marketingexperience. While working as an Analyst at the Europe regional head-office
for XYZ Hotels & Resorts, I was a part of performance optimization project, focused on measures to take
for non-performing hotels and provide a system to address the problem. Within 2 months, my team
presented a system called “DEW” (Distant Early Warning System) which drastically reduced the data
processing time to 4 minutes from 5 hrs with greater forecasting rate of less than 3% variation. I
received very positive feedback for my work as this system provided backbone in intelligence gathering
throughout the company and functioned as the base for discussions for identifying hotels that require
additional support. This was one of the projects that gave me an excellent platform to show my
strategist and resourceful solution seeker with leadership attitude. As SIEMENS has outlined in its
posting that only those candidates will be preferred who show great leadership skills with global
exposure. I had the opportunity to be involved in the pricing positioning for new hotels. In this capacity I
worked on projectsin Turkey, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Spain, Germany, and Saudi Arabia. These experiences
allowed me to show my negotiation, Sales and Marketing skills in challenging, yet rewarding
environments. Moreover, my knowledge of languages like English, Dutch, German, French, Chinese
(Beginner),Spanish(Beginner) makesme atrue global citizen,able toworkinanypart of the world.
I still remember the excerpts of commencement speech of Steve Jobs at Stanford University, which said
“You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have
to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something – your gut,
destiny, life, karma, whatever”. In my opinion, the platforms I have worked on till date are like those tiny
dotswhich directedme toa platformasbig as CEO programat SIEMENSto show my true potential.
A combination of “will power with skill” makes a professional perfect to be considered for the
programme. I hope, my will of working with world’s best professionals with the acquired skills,
will motivate you to invite me for the interview.
