Forever Under 21: A Sims 3 Immortal Teen Challenge, My Second Year
inspector
1. people? People often said that a joke was always
funny if the Police Officer started it.
Their conversation was a short and uncomfort-
able one by the roadside. His colleagues kept
coming over and asking him this and that. He
kept trying to explain the whole situation but
her mind was already wandering around and
looking at people’s shoes, what shopping bags
they carried, the brands people bought, the ratio
of men to women who shopped that evening and
other irrelevant but interesting things.
Finally the so-called inspector got the point as
she was day dreaming, he must have said good-
bye to her but she did not even notice. She only
woke up and saw him with a group of other po-
lice officers walking towards the traffic lights. She
wondered if she would be polite and awkward at
the same time by running towards him. But what
would she say? It was nice meeting you? Good-
bye? See you soon? Call me again? She simply put
her earphones on and listened to Desmond Dek-
ker as she made her way back home.

2. He seemed pretty nice and humble in her head.
She had created this person that was not sup-
posed to be perfect but ideal for her. He was an
inspector as he claimed to be and a civil servant
could be a good father and husband she thought.
So after several weeks on the phone and plan-
ning, they spontaneously decided to meet. Oh
what to wear, oh what to wear! Her whole
house was like a war torn space of clothes lying
everywhere like lifeless bodies. Even after hours
of trying on different clothes, she decided to
wear jeans and a t-shirt.
She made her way to the city center where they
had decided to meet. She paced around like a
dog that had just stolen a huge chunk of sau-
sage from its owner and kept wondering what
a Dutch guy with an exotic accent looked like.
That was the beauty of the city; there was always
something to look forward to.
After a long wait of 30 minutes in the breeze,
her phone rang and said he was running late but
would appear in a few minutes. Despite the cold
breeze, there were many people still moving
around the city and for some reason also groups
of policemen parading around like they knew a
famous drug lord was arriving in town.
The phone rang again and she almost jumped out
of either excitement or anxiety, it was all too
confusing. She wondered if he was in an alley or
corner watching her as she fidgeted around in
her bag to reach for her old and beaten phone.
When she finally answered, he said he was right
in front of her. She looked around but all she saw
was a police officer on the phone. This was not
the kind of thing she wanted though it was highly
expected when you met someone for the first
time: games that people play!
He told her he was the police officer right in
front of her and indeed he was. He was not the
guy on his profile picture at all; he was not the
tall well build chunk of handsomeness at all. He
was a chubby middle-aged police officer from a
Caribbean country or as she thought. She was
not disappointed as per say, but she had this im-
age in her head and he definitely was not it. She
was not so keen on the uniform either. Why did
he decide to come in it? Was he going to have
a date with her in his uniform? Did it mean she
had to behave or not make silly jokes like she al-
ways did just to break the ice when she met new
