There was a lawyer in the front
Everyone sat in a circle around the Lawyer
The new changes to the immigration laws were
discussed
They handed out health care info for the uninsured

11. Changes to Immigration
Laws
Changing dependancy from 22 to 18 years of age
Plan to reopen program to sponsor
parents/grandparents also have to bare financial
needs for 20 years
Whatever your low income cutoff was as of 2014 you
need to make 30% more to sponsor someone
For serious crimes permanent residency can be
taken away and you can be deported
If you misrepresent your personal information you
can have your citizenship taken away

12. You have to prove you can speak english and/or
french to apply for citizenship as of 2012
If you are over 55 or under 17 you do not have to
write a citizenship test
Several changes to the sponsorship laws in the past
year
