4. Multiple sclerosis is a neurological disease,
a disease in which the immune system
destroys the protective covering of the
nerves
▹ I learned in the course that multiple
sclerosis is a progressive disease of the
central nervous system.
▹ I learned that the loss of myelin, which is
a substance whose function is to make
the nervous impulse travel through
neurons, leads to interference in the
transmission of electrical impulses and
produces several symptoms of multiple
sclerosis.

5. I am extremely satisfied with the course
▹ I am part of a scientific initiation in
Brazil, which addresses the topic of
multiple sclerosis.
▹ with covid we were unable to
continue attending face-to-face
research, we are in remote mode, but I
am extremely happy to see how much
the course has added to the topic.
