Mission Statement
“Empowered By Color inspires you to discover more about
yourself and to embrace who you really are. It is an
inspirational journey of self-discovery through an understanding
of color meanings. Knowledge of how color affects your
conscious and subconscious mind can change your life. It can
inspire you to discover more about yourself and to embrace who
you really are.” To guide the user through how psychology and
color can be used to empower people and their surroundings.

Site Mission
Besides having an easy navigation throughout the information,
it is important to have easy access to the particular color/situa-
tion the user is looking for. This increases user visit and bounce
rate by creating an attractive and organized redesign.

The visitors of EmpowerByColor.com need a clean and easy to
navigate website. New visitors should find the information ac-
cessible. Regulars should have no problem coming back and
going for exactly what they are looking for.

helpful tips. She does not know it yet but, a friend who saw her
comment on Facebook will buy the book the author of the site is
selling for Christine as a Bachelorette party gift.

Redesign Process

Inspiration
The inspiration for the site
derived from two sites and what
I ambissioned for the
cosumer to be. The sites were
www.iamyingsunnywang.com
and www.nissan.com. Wang’s
website used boxes to divide
sections within the site and
Nissan‘s website displayed was
simple and yet colorful.
When I thought of the user I
keep going back to an older
woman in her 50’s.
With this in mind, I knew I
needed to come up with a
website that was
simple but elegant. I did not
want a display of all color right
in the users face but rather,
a step-by-step discorvery of
the colors the user needed or
looked for.
