1. Kernel Approach
This special approach allows starting development of the solution on a local level and roll-out the base
CRM functionality to multiple markets in different regions based on the Salesforce.com Cloud-solution.
Development and maintenance of single code branch (kernel) with market-specific and local extensions
balance forces between central and local approach.
2. Extension Platform
The Kernel approach uses the extension platform (EP). From an architecture point of view this solution
includes Salesforce.com and an integrative component called extension platform (EP).
With this EP it is possible to easily connect additional localized systems to Salesforce and ensure that
based on the Kernel concept local business processes can be included and implemented and a fast and
inexpensive roll-out to localized markets can be realized.
