• Cleared down 180 days of debt, liaising with clients and meeting with Business Directors and Credit
Controllers to put in place and execute action plans for success. Reduced debt from £12m to £1.5m
• Reviewed, revised and implemented finance procedures and best practice across all businesses and agency

• Arranging payment plans, cash forecasting and meeting own monthly targets
• Monitoring Bacs, Direct Debits, cheque and credit card payments

Credit Operations Manager (March 2013 – June 2013)
Responsibilities
• Ensured the successful implementation of the Aegis Best Practice processes and procedures with the Credit
Control and Agency business partners
• Set and communicated team monthly delivery targets, reviewing progress and devising action plans to
ensure targets are met
• Provided cover and support for Billings, Collections and the Group Credit Manager where necessary
• Generated and distributed month end reporting for the AMUK Central operating unit
• Chaired and attended finance meetings with key stakeholders
• Carried out regular performance reviews, ensuring the team had access to training and development
programmes
Credit Manager (2001 – 2013) – promoted from Credit Controller (1999 – 2001)
• Key account management for 200 accounts with a monthly turnover of £60m
• Management of a team of 4 - 12 Credit Controllers across various Aegis Media divisions, ensuring credit
control procedures are consistently implemented
• Implementing payment terms and billing dates according to signed contacts and setting up new clients on
DDS
• Conducting mid and year end team reviews, setting team targets and agreeing individual development plans
• Daily monitoring of ledgers including the maintenance of credit balances
• Ensure bookings are correct and media teams approve the billings in accordance to billing dates
• Responsible for foreign exchange deals and arranging fee billings for each client
• Delivering presentations to colleagues at all levels including induction talks to new starters in order to raise
awareness of the function of the Credit Control department
• Generating month end reports for distribution to the Board of Directors
• Supplying information to the auditors in a timely manner
• Carrying out client visits to build and maintain effective business relationships
Credit Risk Assessment
• Applying for Credit Insurance for new business via Euler Hermes online system
• Review all credit limits on a monthly basis, increasing levels of credit where applicable or trading via market
place if limit application is declined by Euler
• Producing and circulating a monthly credit insurance report to monitor potential exposure, utilising the
forecasted figures updated by Management Accounts
• Raising pro-forma invoices to clients that have been refused Credit Insurance and reconciling the account on
a month by month basis
• Monthly reporting on any unpaid debts >60 days old to Euler via online live system (Eolis)
• Complete trade references on request
• Downloading credit limits across all entities, minimising exposure
• Liaising with relevant Account Directors to obtain financial information where necessary i.e. Financial YE
