1. SGT HIGH SPEED IP RADIO
OUTDOOR IP Radio
802.11a/g/n Outdoor AP/CPE/Bridge
The SGT-MN radios operate at 2.4/5GHz for distances up to 10km. The
SGT-MN Series support all point-to-multipoint & point-to-point
configurations.
Features
Rugged Outdoor Design
Watertight housing: built-in lightning arrestor. The SGT-MN series are
designed for the harshest outdoor environments.
Easy Installation
A single Ethernet cable is required between the SGT-MN radio & LAN.
There is a supplied outdoor mounting kit that allows a quick and simple
installation. There is a Buzzer that assists with the antenna panning
process.
Mode Flexibility – PtMP AP, CPE, PtP Bridge
Sagittar provides great flexibility for its IP products. Based on the
customer’s requirements, the IP radios can be configured to work in the
following modes: Bridge Mode-PtP, Access Point, CPE Mode
Very intuitive Management & Maintenance interface

12VDC @1.5A (switching). If there is a POE output,
then POE input must be 15VDC. If there is no POE
output, that means no other equipment is powered by the
PoE Adapter Requirements MN radio; then a POE input of 12 VDC is used.

Typical Application
Upon removing the bottom cover, as shown in the following photo, there are two “reverse
SMA” connectors (for optional connection to an external antenna) and two RJ45
connectors.
6. SGT HIGH SPEED IP RADIO
OUTDOOR IP Radio
Although the radios have a built-in internal MIMO antenna, they are also designed for
connection to an external antenna, which can be a Sector, Panel or Parabolic antenna.
Use of external antennas allows use of higher gain, hence narrower antenna beamwidths
which aid in the achievement of receive carrier level and C/I radio link engineering design
goal objectives.
The radio is designed for direct connection to an IP camera. In the photo below, two
RJ45 connectors are shown. The connection on the right (with a blue cable) is for PoE
supply and Ethernet connection to the radio. The connector on the left feeds DC power
out and provides an Ethernet connection to an IP camera (thereby eliminating the need for
additional Ethernet Switch equipment at the Radio/Camera location).
The above units are connected to 65 -3dB Beamwidth or 90 -3dB Beamwidth to create a
multiple-sectored Base Station which aggregates traffic from multiple outlying CPE Radio
terminals. Depending on engineering design requirements, the remote CPE’s either use
their internal 35 V& H -3dB Beamwidth antennas or external panel or parabolic antenna.

Mounting of a Radio Unit
The following photos show the connection method for the radios.
The mounting rings supports a pole diameter of 32mm to 70mm.
