It allows a person to connect an electronic device to a computer.
It is intended to replace many varieties of serial and parallel ports.
History of USB
The first version of USB was created by a group of companies in 1995.

Mbit/s (Low speed).
USB 1.1 was released in 1998,12 Mbit/s data rate.
