INTRODUCTION
 Nowadays, internet is the essential need for almost 60% of peoples in the
world.
 Have you thought, that how the internet evolves?
 Do you have an idea, how we connect through Air?
 Have you ever wondered that , how the mail, WhatsApp message sent ?
 How the files on the internet downloading?
3
BIRTH OF NETWORK
How internet came to a new norm?
4
HOW TO CONNECT ?
I have a data ? I need a data ?
Short Story :
When the computer came into the world , that has a lot demand, and a computer really
deserves it. The computer programmers started to code a system to do some operations. In a
while, there is no way to share data from one machine to another. They face an issue to code for
each computer. To overcome the issue, the system designers think, how to connect two
computers ?
This how the network got it’s first step into the human’s life.
5
CONNECTION
• After a long research they found to connect the computers with a cables.
• The cable is useful to transfer up to 10kb/s.
• Since the data transfer time and data is in enormous amount, that’s not adequate to
transfer data frequently.
• Now the Topology came into to action to connect number of computers to make data
transfer easy and to make the network to stay connected.
• With the topology, the wires also get updated.
• Likely ,
Twisted pair , Coaxial
This makes the network to transfer data frequently.
6
TOPOLOGY
• The topology is a structure to connect network more efficient as possible.
• Bus – Topology is the first structure that used to connect a computers in a
continuous linear manner. It uses terminator to eradicate the loss of data.
Disadvantages: Main cable , time delay, terminator
• Due Bus – Topology have some disadvantages, The Ring – Topology come
into the came to action. It connects the nodes in a circular format. It reduce
the cost of Terminator and ensure the flow of data.
• Since the data transfer in Ring – Topology is not so frequent and memory
usage is high.
This how the wired network evolved … 7
TOKEN RING
• TOKEN – RING came to action. The token ring helps the ring topology to ensure the dataflow and
memory usage of each computer in a circular format with Acknowledgement. It helps the users to
find if the data reached the destination correctly.
• It is the initial idea for TCP protocol.
• The token ring too have a problem that if any node files in some situation the total network will be
collapsed.
• So, we use RELAY to rectify the issue of failure of node.
8
STAR & MESH TOPOLOGY
• Due increasing demand, the Ring topology couldn’t be able to satisfy the requirements, since the
data is large and time took long.
• Mesh topology gets into action. Since the mesh topology had a big advantage of interconnection
between each system with all systems. It has a disadvantage of complex circuit and wiring. It also got
its valley.
• Then the STAR – TOPLOGY came to the emerging topology, since this topology uses HUB( as a
central device ) it took a major place in networking. It reduce the inter connection between each
computer, then this technology sent a message to each node in a computer.
• The SWITCH came to the new norm in the STAR – TOPOLOGY.
9
MAGIC OF NETWORK
How are we connected in the air?
10
GO WIRELESS
• When we are connected with the wired technology, we couldn’t
be able to transfer a data from one place to another. Though it is
a Local Area Network.
• So the Researchers are waiting to create a new platform for
virtual connections.
• They were use the new technology called packet switching.
• was firstly created by ARPNET that have been created by
defence ministry of United States of America.
• That is the first initiation of the new World Wide Web.
11
FRAME RELAY
The Frame relay creates virtual connections between one and another computer
through visual connection provides number of nodes. The nodes are connected and
transfer the data from one computer to another computer by the interrelated nodes.
This helps us to switch from LAN to MAN. It connects the number of LANs into a
network.
It provides the end-to-end connection an establish the PVC ( permanent virtual
connection ).
12
PACKET SWITCHING
• Packet Switching transmits data across digital networks by breaking it down
into blocks or packets for more efficient transfer using various network
devices.
• Each packet contains the following data as header.
 Source address
 Destination address
 Total number of packets
 Sequence number
• Occasionally, packets might bounce from router to router many times before
reaching their destination IP address. Enough of these kinds of “lost” data
packets in the network can congest it, leading to poor performance. 13
WORLD WIDE WEB
• With a long journey of network. In 1989 sir. Tim Berners-Lee
created the most emerging technology World Wide Web.
• The WWW works with the servers around the world. The ICANNN
having the authority to maintain the WWW.
• The Web is completely interconnected with the systems, servers
and cloud data centers.
14
• Since the web is accessible to all, we use URL to locate the particular sever
or a webpage.
• The backend languages like PHP, python, C#, JavaScript got the web to its
unique standard.
• The HTML, CSS and JS really took a vital role in Web evolution.
• The Databases like MySql, MariaDB, MongoDB has a big role in storing the
valuable related data in it.
• To say without database there is no WWW.
15
TRANSFER

16
HOW DATA TRANSFERS
• Do you know ? It’s really like a magic to you.

17
OSI
• The OSI layer consist of 7 protocols.
• Each and every packet goes in the same way as
depicted.
• IP – destination
• Data transfer
• Transfer control protocol
• Acknowledgement
• The concept how the data transfers virtually.

20
CLOUD
• Now the cloud is the most emerging
technology.
• Google, Microsoft, Apple are now
interested to invest in cloud more.
• The cloud is secure.
• Cloud is reliable . Durable.
• Data accessing speed is high.
• Transfer rate and packet transferring rate
is high and easy to handle.
• In future moreover all the servers may in
cloud.
