hear. In this presentation, we
will explore the basics of
oscillations and some of their
medical applications

Oscillation is defined as
the process of repeating
variations of any quantity
or measure about its
equilibrium value in time.
Oscillations can also be
defined as a periodic
variation of a matter
between two values or
about its central value. In
other words it is the
process of moving back
and forth regularly.

An ECG is a medical test that measures the

MRI uses strong magnetic fields and

tissues.The patient lies on a table
that slides into a tunnel-like
machine, and the resulting images
are used to diagnose medical

Oscillometric blood pressure
measurement is a non-invasive
technique that uses an
inflatable cuff around the arm
to measure blood pressure.
The cuff is inflated to a
pressure that temporarily
stops the flow of blood, and
then slowly released to allow
blood flow. The oscillations in
blood pressure are detected
and used to measure blood
pressure.
