2. The Cast
• Throughout the opening, we were constantly aiming to create a
sense of roughness and bravery within our characters, due to the
context that the opening was in.
• In order to carry this out, we made sure that we had young male
characters that were dressed roughly and came across, within their
dialogue, as if they, due to their age, had been through a lot due to
the horrible events that had taken place.
• By using these types of characters, we immediately felt as if we
were relating to the social group of Teenage White British males
and we tried to present them in a courageous and heroic way. We
made sure to position the audience from the point of view of the
main protagonist and ensured that they were to sympathise
with him.

3. • Throughout the creation of the opening, there were many
technical skills that helped us to construct the ideas
represented by our characters
• Recording of Sound – Sound allowed us to place a dialogue
over the opening which helped us to explain to audiences the
storyline behind the characters and helped us to bring across
the representations that we wanted.
• Editing – Editing allowed us to use the idea of a flashback to
construct the representations of bravery and survival.
